[Studio_noti] New Studio Discount Setting FAQ (English)
Hello from STOVE Store!
We’ve made a lot of updates in our new Studio.
Among them, discount settings are one of the most frequently asked topics — so here's a quick FAQ just for that!
Unlike before, you can now set up multiple discounts, which has brought some changes to how the system works.
We've compiled a list of frequently asked questions about the updated process below — please take a look!
Q1. Can I set discounts before release?
A. Yes. You can definitely set up discounts even before release.
However, this is only available *after* passing review via the “Release the product with Build” method.
(If you only passed product page review, discount setup won't be available.)
👉 Go to 'Release Product Page and Build'Guide
🧩 Scenario: How to apply pre-launch discounts
1. Choose release method: Select “Launch with product page and build”
2. Request & pass review: Submit launch review → Approval (within ~5 business days)
3. Set discount: Enter discount rate and period in the discount tab
Q2. Is it no longer possible to set permanent discounts?
A. Correct —
To ensure price transparency and protect consumers, permanent discounts are no longer supported.
But you can set the End Date far into the future.
🧩 Studio scenario for simulating a permanent discount
1. Go to Discount Settings tab
2. Enter discount rate: e.g., 20%
3. Set End Date: e.g., 2999-12-31 23:59
4. Save and apply
Q3. I already have a discount, and I want to temporarily change the discount rate
— how do I go back to the original later?
A. Here’s how to do that step-by-step. (e.g., temporarily raising a 10% discount to 20%)
1) Suspend the currently active discount.
2)Set a new discount with the original rate, covering the period before the rate change.
3) Add another discount entry applying the updated rate for the desired duration.
4) Once the higher discount period ends, create a new entry with the original rate again.
-> So in total, you'll need to stop the current discount and set 3 new discount entries.
🧩 Studio scenario for discount rate change (10% → 20% → 10%)
- Suspend current discount
- Discount #1: Set 10% discount (e.g., until April 30)
- Discount #2: Set 20% discount (e.g., May 1–31)
- Discount #3: Set 10% discount again (e.g., from June 1)
Q4. How do I set a discount for collections?
A. Go to the “Collection” tab and click “Create”.
Once you finish setting up the collection, you’ll find the discount settings on the right side of the list.
That’s where you apply the discount.
- <br>
-> Please note: A permanent bundle discount for collections (i.e., no time limit) is planned for a future update.
🧩 Studio scenario for collection discount setup
- Go to Collection tab → Click “Create”
- Fill in collection info and items → Save
- Find the collection in list → Click “Discount Settings”
- Enter discount rate and duration → Save
