🎮 Namco × Capcom Theme Songs Arrive on Streaming After Nearly 20 Years
According to the latest updates, the opening and ending theme songs from Namco × Capcom will officially be released on digital streaming platforms starting April 11, marking the first time these tracks become widely available in digital format.
This move was confirmed by composer Yuzo Koshiro, who revealed that the original master recordings of the songs have been rediscovered, enabling their release after being unavailable since the game’s original launch in 2005.
The tracks set for release include “Subarashiki Shin Sekai” (opening) and “Itsuka Kitto Tsuki no Shita de” (ending). In addition to the standard versions, the release will feature multiple variations such as full length, short, and instrumental versions, offering a range of listening options for fans.
Namco × Capcom is a tactical RPG released for PlayStation 2 in 2005, known for bringing together characters from both Namco and Capcom franchises. Despite its limited regional release, the game has maintained a dedicated following and later inspired crossover titles such as Project X Zone.
The decision to bring these theme songs to streaming platforms after nearly two decades is seen as an effort to preserve and reintroduce classic game music to a wider audience, while also making it more accessible for long time fans of the title.
