🎮Crimson Desert’s Core Team Moves to DokeV (New Project)
The core development team behind Crimson Desert has been reassigned to a new project, DokeV, while a separate team will continue handling support, updates, and final polishing for Crimson Desert in the coming period.
This reallocation of resources is believed to optimize the development timeline of DokeV, a project that was previously announced but has seen limited updates in recent years. Current information suggests that DokeV may require an additional 2 to 3 years of development, reflecting the scale and ambition of the title.
Notably, both Crimson Desert and DokeV are built using the same BlackSpace engine, allowing for a smoother transition between teams in terms of technology and production workflow. This also enables the studio to leverage shared experience and existing resources across both projects.
The shift in development focus is also seen as an indication that Crimson Desert may have completed the majority of its core content, entering a final stage of optimization and refinement. However, the developer has not issued any official confirmation regarding the project’s completion status.
Amid increasing competition in the gaming industry, such strategic adjustments to prioritize resources for promising titles have become a common approach among major studios.
