๐ World of Horror Reveals Major Update 1.2 and Board Game Pre-Orders
World of Horror, the acclaimed 1-bit cosmic horror RPG, has officially announced a massive content expansion with Update 1.2. This update, alongside a new physical board game adaptation, marks a significant milestone for developer Panstasz and publisher Ysbryd Games in expanding the haunting universe of Shiokawa.
Update 1.2: Expanding the Nightmare by 20%Update 1.2 is designed to bring unfinished and cut content back into the fold, increasing the overall game size by approximately 20%. Key highlights include:
- New Characters & Old Gods: Three new unlockable characters (including Kiriko the Tarotist) and two additional Old Gods have joined the roster of eldritch threats.
- New Locations & Events: A brand-new Mountains location is now accessible, featuring 60 new events. A "Weird Weather" system has also been introduced, forcing players to strategize around unpredictable environmental conditions.
- The First Scenario: The update introduces the game's first dedicated scenario focusing on three students lost in the woods, featuring unique events, allies, and multiple endings.

In a surprise move, a tabletop survival RPG adaptation of World of Horror is now available for pre-order. This card-based game allows players to navigate the seaside town of Shiokawa while under pressure from the "DOOM Wheel."
- Editions: Players can choose between the Standard Edition or several limited Deluxe versions. The Deluxe sets feature a papercraft lighthouse dice tower, a hardback "Book of Endings," and exclusive art prints.
- Horror Auteurs: The board game features special mysteries written by horror legends like Hifumi Kono (Clock Tower director) and art by acclaimed Japanese artists such as Kago Shintaro.
Pre-orders for the limited editions are open through Lost In Cult until April 30, 2026.
