Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties Demo Release Dates Announced for All Platforms
SEGA and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced the release dates for the Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties demo.
The demo will launch on January 21 at 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET for PC via Steam.
It will then release later for consoles on January 21 at 9:00 p.m. PT / January 22 at 12:00 a.m. ET for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2.
SEGA has confirmed that save data from the demo cannot be carried over to the full game.
According to SEGA, the free demo lets players try both games included in the two-in-one package, which combines action adventure and beat ’em up gameplay.
In Yakuza Kiwami 3, players take control of Kazuma Kiryu and can freely explore Ryukyu, Okinawa. The demo allows players to fight enemies while switching between Kiryu’s Dragon of Dojima: Kiwami style and weapon-based Ryukyu fighting styles.
Players can also enjoy side content such as karaoke, sub-stories, outfit customization, and other activities that the series is known for.
In Dark Ties, players experience part of a brand-new story starring Yoshitaka Mine. This section of the demo takes place in Kamurocho, Tokyo, and includes side activities as well.
Combat in Dark Ties focuses on Mine’s shoot-boxing style, which lets players defeat enemies in a fast and stylish way.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties will be released in full on February 12. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
The demo gives players an early chance to explore both Kiryu’s story in Okinawa and Mine’s new storyline in Tokyo before the full release next month.
