More Signs Point to Monster Hunter Wilds Coming to Nintendo Switch 2
New signs suggest that Monster Hunter Wilds may be coming to Nintendo Switch 2.
Dataminers have reportedly found references to Switch 2 in the game’s latest PC update. These include text linked to wireless multiplayer features.
A Chinese datamining group also claims to have found graphics settings made for a possible Switch 2 version. These settings suggest the game could run at 30fps with DLSS enabled.
According to the group, one option could allow the game to run at 1080p in docked mode. Visual quality would be better than the PC version’s “very low” setting. The group also shared a video showing how the game might look in handheld mode, based on these settings.
If true, this would not be surprising. Monster Hunter games have been very popular on Nintendo systems, and Capcom has strongly supported Switch 2 so far.
Capcom has already released Street Fighter 6 and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess on Switch 2. It has also announced new Resident Evil ports, Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, and a new Mega Man game.
Capcom developers have previously spoken positively about working with Switch 2 hardware.
“When we got the Switch 2 hardware, we were surprised in a good way about how smooth the process was for us to bring the existing development version of the game to that platform,” said producer Masato Kumazawa.
“It just made sense that we felt that we don’t need to wait on this one or do a separate project after the main game, we can just bring the main game to this hardware immediately.”
