Falcom’s Busy Road Ahead!
Falcom’s future lineup is shaping up to be far more ambitious than it may appear on the surface. According to the company’s latest schedule presentation published via Nikkei, Falcom is currently developing several unannounced titles beyond the already known new Xanadu sequel and various port projects. Notably, two of these projects belong to the Trails and Ys series, both still in active development but yet to be officially revealed.
Looking ahead to 2026, Falcom’s plans go beyond Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter. The studio has also confirmed that an entirely new, brand-new title is planned for release next year. While no details were shared, the wording suggests this is neither a remake nor a sequel, leaving room for speculation that Falcom could be preparing a fresh IP or a major experimental project. Taken together, these plans paint a clear picture of a studio entering a highly productive phase, balancing its long-running flagship series with new creative ambitions. For fans of Falcom’s RPGs, the coming years appear packed with announcements and releases worth keeping an eye on.
