Toshihiro Nagoshi reveals Gang of Dragon, the first game from his new studio

The first game from Yakuza / Like a Dragon creator Toshihiro Nagoshi’s new studio has been announced.

The game is called Gang of Dragon, and the studio says it is already “deep into development”. The game looks like a more realistic version of the Like a Dragon style.

The main actor is Ma Dong-seok, the well-known Korean-American star from Train to Busan, The Outlaws, and Marvel’s Eternals. The trailer seems to take place in Kabukicho in Shinjuku, Tokyo, but it is not yet confirmed if the game will use the real district or a fictional version.

In a previous interview in 2023, Nagoshi said he understood that fans expect to see his personal style in his new games. “Obviously, we’re not going to create something exactly the same, but I do understand there are expectations from people based more on me as a creator and my personality, so people want to see my tastes and my personality in my new games,” he said.
“Obviously, I will not betray my fans in that sense -I will create something with my personality and make a dramatic game, stuff like that – and my taste and personality will be reflected in the game. I can’t tell you exactly what genre it’ll be or what the game is going to be like, but I will not betray my fans.”
