Brown Dust 2 (aka: My fav game) — a highly anticipated anime-style gacha RPG known for its heavy fanservice — has officially been blocked from releasing on Steam before its launch date. This marks yet another example of Steam’s increasingly strict stance toward anime-inspired titles with provocative content, despite the platform still hosting numerous explicit 18+ games in other categories.

According to reporting from Automaton West, the developers stated that the Steam release was halted because the game could not meet the platform’s “content review requirements” without compromising its core direction. Brown Dust 2 is widely known for its revealing outfits and highly suggestive scenes, which many believe to be the primary reason behind Steam’s refusal.

Before the removal, the game had surpassed 100,000 wishlists, demonstrating significant demand. Although Steam has not issued an official explanation, this is far from the first time an anime-styled game has been blocked due to opaque or inconsistently applied content standards.
