캐시의 다이어리

캠퍼스에는 어딘가 다르게 느껴지는 공간들이 있다.
단지 어떻게 보이느냐가 아니라,
그곳을 지날 때 마음에 무엇을 남기는지 때문일지도 모른다.

얼마 전, 그런 공간 중 하나가
우연히 만들어진 것이 아니라는 걸 알게 되었다.

누군가가 그렇게 상상했고,
누군가가 그 빛과 색, 그리고 그곳의 고요함을 선택했다.

곧 그 공간을 만든 사람을 만나게 될 것이다.
그리고 그곳을 이해하는 일은
어쩌면 처음 그것을 꿈꾼 사람을 이해하는 일일지도 모른다.

어쩌면 공간은 단순한 배경이 아닐지도 모른다.
어쩌면 현실이 된 꿈일지도 모른다.

There are places on campus that feel different.
Not just because of how they look,
but because of what they awaken when you walk through them.

Recently, I learned that one of those spaces
didn’t appear by chance.

Someone imagined it that way.
Someone chose its light, its colors, its silence.

Soon, we’ll meet the person who created it.
And I have the feeling that understanding that place
also means understanding the one who first dreamed it.

Maybe spaces aren’t just settings.
Maybe they are dreams that found a way to become real.
