캐시의 다이어리

새해가 되면
사람들은 소원에 대해 이야기한다.
무엇이 달라질지,
무엇을 내려놓고 싶은지에 대해.

하지만 소리 내어 말하지 않는 선택들도 있다.
아무도 보지 않을 때 내리는 결정들.
의식도, 증인도, 예쁜 약속도 없이.

가끔은 완벽한 선택을 하는 게 아니다.
그저 지금의 내가 감당할 수 있는 것을 고를 뿐이다.

새로운 시작이 항상 가벼운 것은 아니다.
때로는 그저 솔직해지는 일이다.
