I think Valkyrie Squad: Siege Breakers is a pretty fun game. While it clearly takes inspiration from another popular game in terms of style it's actually a type of twin stick shooter since you can aim and move in different directions and also have activated abilities like a dash.

Unlike many other twin stick shooters you get to pick a group of three from a bunch of cute characters that all have different weapons and super powers. Plus as you unlock more and more you get even more variety. This lets you customize your playstyle to whatever you want depending on the enemies. Personally I like using the big saw super power.

The bosses can be pretty tough and have all sorts of special moves so you'll need to use your dodge ability and non-auto attacks to good effect if you want to win.
