[Update] 10/12 (Thu) Update Content [39]




Hello Heirs. 

This is GM Dominiel!

 

Let’s take a look at what we have in store for you in this week’s update.

Players will be able to view this update after the maintenance on Thursday, October 12.

 

 

 

1. Episode 5 - In the Umbrae of Eternity Preview 

 


 

The PV of Episode 5, In the Umbrae of Eternity, will be added. 

The existing illustration title screen will be changed to the PV title screen. 

 

■ Title Screen Change Condition 

-  Clear Episode 4, stage 10. Path of the Savior stage, in North Theranhad.

 

 

2. World Arena Insight Season

 


 

The World Arena Pre-season will come to an end and the Insight Season will begin! 

We are excited for your fair and fierce competition this season!

 

■ Schedule

- The following is the schedule for the end of the World Arena pre-season and the start of the Insight Season.

■ How to Enter

- Rank 60 and above

- Participants must have more than 5 Heroes from each class that are starting grade 2 or higher. (Except for Material Heroes / A total of 30 Heroes)

 

■ Insight Season Background Pack

- Adjustments will be made to the World Arena entry banner, lobby, and battle backgrounds.

 

■ Insight Season Rewards

- At the end of the Insight Season, you will earn season rewards based on your final league grade.

Go to World Arena > Ranking > Season Rewards

 

 You can check the season rewards for each ranking in-game after the World Arena Insight Season begins.

 

[Skin Information]

 

 The skin image will be revealed through a separate notice during the season.

 

[Frame Information]



 

[Background Pack]

- Players who have played a match in the World Arena Insight Season more than once will receive a Background Pack. (Includes players who have not completed placements)

 

[Other Improvements]

The background image will be replaced according to the beginning of the regular season.

   World Arena entry banner, lobby (including dark mode), and battle backgrounds.

- The background music in Battle will be changed.

 

■ Blind Function Update

- Certain information about the matched opponent will be hidden before the battle begins in the World Arena Rank Battle.

3. New Content, Rift

 

 

New combat content where players can select and acquire desired Equipment sets, Rift, will be added.

 

- Rift will be seasonal content.

- Each season will impose restrictions on the elements of the Heroes that can be used.

- You cannot acquire crafting material from RIft.

- Rift battle can be completed with Guardians and Pets, but Supporters cannot participate.

[Set Selection]

- You can select the set of equipment that you acquire after defeating the Rift Boss on the main screen once you've entered the Rift.

- You can select four sets. 

- The selected sets can be changed without limitations.

- You cannot proceed with Rift Battle unless you select your sets.

 

 

[Rift Controller]

- Rift Controller is a magical engineering device that grants you access to great power in a different dimension.

- It is a device invented to manage the Rift Counterforce, Rift Control Level, and Rift Fragments.

- The Rift Controller is reset after a season ends.

 

[Rift Counterforce]

-During battle, at the end of a Hero's turn, decreases Rift Counterforce by 1, and when it reaches 0, they return to their original world.

- The damage dealt to the Rift Boss is saved and battle will be resumed when retrying.

 

[Rift Control Level]

-As you accumulate a certain amount of Rift Energy, your Rift Control Level increases.

- You can acquire Rift Energy when you defeat a Boss in the Rift.

- Every time the Rift Control Level increases, damage dealt against the Boss increases.

- Rift Fragment effects will be unlocked when the Rift Control Level reaches a certain level.

 

[Rift Fragment]

- Rift Fragment has significant effects when battling Rift Bosses.

- Each group has three Rift Fragments and you will be able to select one Rift Fragment.

- The selected sets can be changed without limitations.

 

 

■ Battle Rules

 

[Remaining Chances]

- You have a total of 3 chances in the beginning.

- When all allies are dead, the remaining chance will decrease by 1.

- When the remaining chance becomes 0, the Rift battle in progress will be reset and the chance will be reset to 3. 

 

[Team formation and Start of the Battle]

- Each season has a limitation on the elements of the Heroes that can be used.

- Team formation will be reset once the season ends.

 

[Battle Results]

Category

Description

Defeating the Rift Boss

You can acquire Season points, Boss Defeat Reward, and Rift Energy.

The Rift Boss and the remaining chances will be reset.

Return

When Rift Counterforce reaches 0, the damage dealt to the Rift Boss is saved and the battle ends.

Rift Counterforce is reset every battle.

Defeat

When all allies are dead, it is considered a defeat.

When defeated, the damage dealt to the Rift Boss will not be saved, and the remaining chances will decrease by 1.

The Energy used will be returned.

Yield

The battle will be marked as a defeat when you tap the Yield button on the pause menu.

 

■ Boss Defeat Reward

- You will acquire one piece of Equipment from the set you choose when you defeat the Rift Boss. (Main stat and substats are granted randomly.)


- You will receive Equipment-enhancing ingredients after defeating a boss.

 

■ Four New Rift-exclusive Pet Skills

Four new Rift-exclusive skills will be added for Battle Type pets.

  1) Chance to receive 1 additional piece of Equipment upon defeating the Boss (Rift)

  2) Chance to receive additional Reforging Materials upon defeating the Boss (Rift)

  3) Chance to receive 1 additional Lesser Charm upon defeating the Boss (Rift)

  4) Chance to receive double Rift Energy and Season Score upon defeating the Boss (Rift)

 

 As four new pet skills have been added, the chances of other pet skills appearing will be affected.
 
 For more information regarding the chances, please refer to the in-game information under Petshop > Adopt > Adoption Rate per Skill Rank.

 

■ Season 1. Zeaon of Zero-Defects City

The fierce battle against Defect Terminator Zeaon, the giant Android of Zero-Defects City is available!

Challenge the first season of the new content, Rift!

[Season Rewards]

After defeating the boss in the Rift and acquiring season points, players will be eligible to receive season rewards based on their cumulative score.

 

 

■ Other

- The "Complete Hunt" Achievement in the game will now include Rift.

- Players will have a chance to acquire Expedition missions upon completing Rift Battles.

- In the Rift, players will be able to use Repeat Battling and Background Battling.

  (However, when Background Battling is activated in the Rift, players will be unable to progress with Hunts.)

 

 

4. Special Side Story, A Fable of the Demons of Natalon - Week 3

 

 

The monks have been at war with the demons for a long, long time.

However, the monks soon became a dying breed, and the power of their seals ebbed along with them. 

Without a moment's hesitation, the demons have begun crawling back into Natalon's lands...

 

The third week of the Special Side Story, A Fable of the Demons of Natalon begins now.

■ A Fable of the Demons of Natalon Week 3 Information

 

 

[Basic Rules]

- The Side Story, A Fable of the Demons of Natalon, is a Side Story about sealing the Demons within a scroll in Natalon lands.

- A Fable of the Demons of Natalon consists of a total of 3 chapters, and players must identify the weakness of the Demons to defeat and seal them.

- As you play through the story, you will meet the Monks who will tell you how to weaken and seal the Demons.

- Heed the rumor in Natalon and get a hint to exploit the Demons' weakness. Use the hint to weaken and seal them.

- Completing all stages for each week will grant the player special illustrations.

■ Week 3 Information

[Stage Progress] 

- Players must identify and acquire the objects that are weaknesses to the Demons, and use them to exploit and seal them.

 

[Story Stages]

- Story Stages do not require Energy to enter and do not contain any battles.

- Story Stages do not provide event currency.

 

[Weakness Stages]

- It is a stage to discover the weakness of the Demons.

- Players can acquire the objects that are weaknesses to the Demons by answering questions by Riddler Wicked.

- Weakness Stages do not require Energy to enter and do not have any battles.

 

[Turbulent Trail]

- In the Turbulent Trail stage, players will be battling against the Demons, selecting dialogues.

 Players will select answers to the given questions.

 Players can weaken and defeat enemies when they select the right choice for the question. Selecting the wrong choice will strengthen the enemy resulting in a defeat.

 If the player fails to acquire the objects that are weaknesses to the Demons, the player cannot select objects for the question and will lose the battle.

 

[Mini Game: Sealing Demons]

- Players can seal the Demons by clearing the Mini Game Stage which can be accessed after clearing stage 7. Turbulent Trail.

- Memorize the order by which a set of charms appear on the sealing circle within the time limit and then mark them in order of appearance.

- Mini Game Stages do not require Energy to enter and do not have any battles.

 

[Stage Difficulty]

- Players can select various difficulties on stage 7. Turbulent Trail.

- Players may select a higher difficulty after successfully clearing stage 8. Sealing Siho.

- Players may select a higher difficulty after successfully clearing the one before it.

- As the difficulty progresses the amount of energy needed to play will increase as well as the amount of event currency earned.

- Hell difficulty can be played up to 5 times during the side story period.


 


 

[Exchange]

- Players will be able to exchange the event currency, Tears of Grief, for items in the Exchange.

- Players will be able to exchange event currency for items up to one week after the Side Story ends. Unused event currency after that period will then be deleted.



 

 

 

5. Tamarinne & Idol's Cheer Drop Rate Up!

 

 

In this Drop Rate Up players can meet Tamarinne, a Fire Elemental Soul Weaver who can both recover the Health of allies and support her ally's attacks. Players can also acquire Idol's Cheer, an Artifact that increases the Combat Readiness of the ally with the highest Attack when the caster is attacked. This Artifact allows your strongest ally even more opportunities to attack the enemy. -

6. Haste and Rhianna & Luciella Drop Rate Up

 

 

In this Drop Rate Up event meet the Fire Elemental Thief, Haste who can weaken enemies by decreasing Defense, deal damage using Bleeding effects, and simultaneously recover Health. Players can also obtain the Thief exclusive Artifact, Rhianna & Luciella which, at the end of a turn has a set chance to grant an extra turn enabling a continuous Attack.

7. Other Improvements and Adjustments 

 

■ Battle Screen UI Improvements

- The screen UI will undergo a redesign, splitting it into two tabs to enhance visibility within the Battle content.

 

 

■ World Arena

- An issue where defeated Heroes were resurrected in incorrect placements when a defeated Hero is resurrected in battle after re-entering the Round Mode will be fixed.

■ Music Player

- Five new original soundtracks will be added to the Music Player.

■ Other

- Adjustments will be made to enable players to collect rewards from mailbox messages containing links only after tapping the [Confirm Link] button associated with that specific message.

- An issue will be fixed where a momentary pause pop-up appears on Android devices when specific buttons on a Bluetooth keyboard are tapped after entering an Adventure stage.

- An issue where certain part of the screen could not be touched due to game resolution changes on iPhone 15 devices will be fixed.

- (German) An issue where part of the description of the 5 Hero Choux's skill, Operation: Cream Pastry, was not displayed on the "Awaken" screen, will be fixed.

- The overall quality of specific scenes in 5 Hero Nahkwol's skill, Spiritual Devouring, will be improved.

- An issue where the Memory Imprint was displayed on the right side of the Hero list when returning to the Hero screen after entering the Hero Transmission screen will be fixed.

- The community links of certain languages in-game will be changed to the Global channel in accordance with the STOVE community channel reduction.

 The in-game language service for 10 languages will remain unchanged.

 Target language: German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Thai

- The advantages descriptions of the Boss, Nilgal in Hall of Trials will be edited to match its actual effect. No functional changes will be made.

- An issue where you could select more Enhancement Powder than the actual amount needed to maxi enhance Equipment when choosing Enhancement Powder on the Equipment Enhancement screen, after selecting the Lobby pet with an Equipment Enhancement EXP boosting skill, will be resolved.

- The region information of 5 Hero, Fallen Cecilia on the Hero Journal will be changed to “Days of Piercing Cold”.

the problem in my opinion isn't getting good gear, I get good gear drop all the time. the problem is rolling it and getting garbage. then you have the odasuty to make a reset system that garbage too. $500000 gold, to get more garbage rolls.  it's a horrible system. that's why new players don't stay. they put so much time and effort to get trash gear in return. For example ;  I got a 30 gear level  speed gear with good subs and i roll it and get the one stat I don't want and it's a 4% out of 8. makes me want to quit sometimes.

They should change pets so they don't have and abilities, but put the ability on an item like  collar that we can equip/unequip so we could use different pets depending on our mood.

sorry devs but you screwed up the rift event. The life bars reset if the player dies. Not worth using the energy neither. Watch your usage stats. After a couple weeks no one is going to play that event. Moreover the event rewards are not worth it.

If you want to get more players redo the moonlight 5 star character event where people choose their  characters again.


Also add sweeping to stages that been beat, similar to other games like Blue archive. Girl wars. Evertale, and momento mori. This will save people time,tablet and phones battery life and less electronics going to landfills. Moreover it will reduce people being all on the servers at the same time and causing connection issues for everyone because we are all fighting for server resources.

Most of this patch actually kinda ***** specifically Rift I have no interest in.  I am interested in that ML Yufine tho.

the new game mode is trash? 120 ER, 8 health bars, are you serious? I'm guessing the next covenant summon is going to be a unit for this mode and the more imprint the less damage the boss does, am I right? the mode should be fun but I'm frustrated. not to mention you didn't even give us free unequip buff to try and get enough EFF to even attempt this. strike 2 smilegate

Epic Seven devs are specialists in making disgusting content. Like... 0 fun.

Remember when we had fun pve like the automation tower revamp (not the original one)?

Heroic gear drop in Rift should be removed, considering that substat is already RnG.   (-_-")

D'abord ça ne serait pas mal d'avoir une adaptation en animé sur épic seven parce qu'il ya du potentiel deuxièmement niveau arène c'est totalement déloyale tu as 4200 points il ya des gars beaucoup plus élevé que toi mais beaucoup élevé par exemple 4800 points qui t'attaque c'est complètement Illogique donc ce serait bien de voir soit le PC d'adversaire ou de faire une liste d'attaquant égal à ton niveau c'est tout et de faire un double français avec des acteurs francophones il y en a qui coûte pas chère.

Diablo and Poe greatly successful games where you have 1000s of items drop and you have more layers of roll rng than e7. You play either?

You play literally anything with random drops like most games are now?

If you want every piece of gear to be good you'd be done the game in a few months.

You're not supposed to finish this game just like you're not supposed to finish Diablo and Poe or any other game with heavy itemization and loot drops. You're always grinding.

Diablo and Poe you're gearing one hero and it takes weeks to months before the build is even made nevermind optimized. E7 you're gearing lots of heroes. Do the math.

If this type of game is not for you, shut up and leave.

epic7#xfzbliHey dude your comparison almost makes sense, but you just forgot the part that diablo and poe have TRADE in them, most people play POE and diablo for seasonal content, which means 3 months is more than enough for you to get build complete.
It makes the focus of gearing system WAY different than anything you'll get on E7.

In E7 you don't have a guarantee that you can just buy the item from another player if your 3 months of farming doesn't work. The point that the OP is trying to make is that it's not rewarding to farm for months at a time and not being able to get a good item, if you're unlucky enough you might never even get a good item and there's nothing you could do about it.
Also it's really bizarre to see every person who tries to give a minimal criticism to this game, hit with "erm this game isn't for you sorry", there's more stuff to enjoy in the game than just a broken gearing system, most people criticizing have been playing it for years already.

Make RTA season rewards cumulative. If I'm playing a lot of matches and climbing up leagues, I shouldn't be missing out on rewards, it's like I'm being punished for playing the game. I want both the skin AND the conquest points

I feel its fair, because if you lose 1 and win once, it accumulates points like 7 more. Depends on repeat win! RTA>Arena

Stop being that greedy, in other games the rta skin is reserved only for like the best 5%. Be happy or s.t.f.u.

The worst part about the new update - new pet we need. They decided, "No, you're not free of this abominable system. Never!"

Yeah as if you don't have hundreds of free tickets to roll. We haven't had a reason to roll for pets in like a year.

If you never did pets or don't have them built then that's your problem and haha ***** for you.

Very disappointed they decided to hide the opponent's info except the profile card. 

If you're going to do it, do it all the way. This will not fight ban sniping, it will not fight win trading, it will not fight the entry barriers of RTA to newer players to the mode.

The only thing it does is make it harder for people who are not in organized discord servers to look up people on epic7.gg which is not even a problem; and it will also make RTA feel less like we're fighting people and more like we're fighting bots

epic7.gg is a noticeable problem, 3rd party tools that use epic7.gg is an even bigger problem, it will make win trading more bothersome (although still possible), it will give players tools to fight ban sniping (either with generic profile cards or just swapping them once in a while).
Unless you're abusing the current system, there's basically no downside to this change. You still get to see who you're fighting once the match actually begins, so the bot feeling is flimsy at best.

epic7#g2e8erLet's not bring 3rd party tools to the table because if you do, then I could argue you can sniff e7's traffic and get the id of the player you're fighting regardless of whether you show the card, names or not; to then look it up on gg, which is something one single tool could do automatically, so I'd ignore that.

I didn't know the name would show during the actual match. That's nice to know. I feel like this is more of a gg website problem and not a game problem though and they should make the changes on the website and not in the game

These information can also serve as part of the strategy. Too bad the devs decide to deprive it.

e.g. Use an op hero as avatar to bait a ban; Read the opponent's progress when certain frames are used.
