Let’s take a look at what we have in store for you in this week’s update.

Players will be able to view this update after the maintenance on Thursday, January 19.

 1. Episode Revamp: Hero Side Story Improvement

The Hero Side Story will now be added to the Side Story List, and you can choose a Side Story you want and play it.

■ Side Story List Unlock Condition

- After completing Stage 10-10. Shrieking Hall of Episode 1 (Same as when the existing Side Story was unlocked)

■ How to Proceed

- You can select one of the Side Stories from the [Side Story List] and play through it.

ㄴYou can continue the currently active Side Story in [Side Story > Side Story Banner] (as before).

- The Hero Side Story does not have any time limit and does not have any Exchange limit period.

- Unlocking the [Side Story List] will unlock the Side Story, 'Dear Mentor', and after clearing it, you can select a Side Story of a Hero appearing in Episode 1 and play through it. From Episode 2 onward, a new Hero Side Story will be unlocked every time a certain stage is cleared. The Side Story, 'Dear Mentor', which was available as a tutorial will no longer be available in the same way after the maintenance on 1/19 (Thu). 

- The new Hero's Side Story will also be added to the [Side Story List] so that you can select and play through it after clearing certain stages.

ㄴ For those who already cleared Episodes 2, 3, and 4, you can select and play through a Side Story of your choice, but you cannot select Side Stories of Heroes that have not yet been unlocked.

■ Completing an ongoing Side Story and starting a new Side Story

- If you want to end the Side Story that is in progress and start a new Side Story, you can use a 'Change Ticket' to select and proceed with a different Hero's Side Story.

  ㄴ You can use your 'Change Ticket' once every two weeks and the unused ticket will be reset at the reset time.

  ㄴ The 'Change Ticket' will be added on 1/26 (Thu) 03:00 UTC, and will reset every 2 weeks.

- When you have a 'Change Ticket', a button that starts a different Side Story will be available.

- When starting a different Hero's Side Story, the ongoing Side Story will close and will no longer be available.

- A 'Change Ticket' can only be used once every two weeks. After using the ticket, the time left until you can use the ticket again will be displayed.

- You can use the filter and the search function to find the Side Story of the Hero that you want to play.

■ Completing a Side Story.

- Though you may not replay the completed Side Story, you can watch the completed Side Story in [Journal > Story Journal > Hero Stories].

- AP Exchange for the completed Side Story will be closed immediately. Please check to see if you have acquired and exchanged all the rewards before starting a new Side Story.

 - Story Collections are a new currency that can be used to unlock Story Summon. This currency will be obtainable as you progress through the Side Stories unlocked via the Side Story List.

  ㄴ Acquire 1 Story Collection when completing 1 Side Story.

■ Story Summon
 [Unlock Story Summon]

- Consumed Resources: Story Collection x4

Icon	Description
	[Story Collection] A mysterious book that allows you to forge a new connection with a Hero from a story.

※ Unlocking the Story Summon for the first time does not cost any resources. You can select Story Summon Target by using 4 Story Collection afterward.

[How to Play]

- Location: Summon > Story Summon

- Period: For 7 days after unlocking the selected Hero's Story Summon.

- You can select one of the Lead Heroes from the completed Side Stories as the Hero Summon Target among the Side Stories registered on the Side Story List UI.

- The Story Summon and the method of spending its currency have the same mechanism as other Drop Rate Up banners.

- You can only unlock 1 Story Summon at a time and can open it again after the Story Summon in progress ends.

- After their initial release, new Heroes will become available for Story Summon 6 months after their first appearance on a Drop Rate Up banner.

■ Side Story Chronicles Improvements

- Chronicle Descriptions will be displayed according to Episode 4 Story Update and your progress in the Episode.

- The Side Story Chronicles that have not been unlocked due to the progress of the Episode will not be displayed and their unlocking conditions will be shown in place of them.

■ Other Improvements and Adjustments

- Improvements will be made for [Story Journal > Hero Stories] and [Hero > Details > Hero Stories].

ㄴ Unlock condition alleviated: The condition where you must acquire the Hero will be removed, and it can be viewed again after completing the Hero's Side Story.

However, after the update, the unlocked Side Stories will be displayed as locked and can only be unlocked again after completing the corresponding Hero Side Story.

ㄴSide Stories of all Heroes listed on the [Side Story List] will be added.

ㄴ The UI for selecting the Hero Side Story in [Hero Stories] will be changed according to the improvements.

- [Story Summon] will be added in [Help > Summon].- [Side Story List] will be added in [Help > Side Story].

2. Episode Revamp: Episode 1 Epilogue, Unrecorded History Improvements

- Unrecorded History's stage volume and Region Rewards will be improved.  Additionally, the AP Exchange will be merged into one.

■ Stage Volume Improvements

- The Unrecorded History Episode, consisting of a total of 16 chapters, and 230 stages, will be reduced to a 1 chapter Side Story with 34 stages.

■ Integrated AP Exchange

- As the stage volume will be improved, AP Exchanges, which were provided per chapter, will be integrated into one.ㄴ Existing Adventure Points will be retained.- Rare and Epic Catalysts that are available will be displayed in each category in AP Exchange.

-The number of items sold will be changed as follows: Rare Catalysts 10 → 20, Epic Catalysts 5 → 10.

■ Region Rewards Adjustments

- As the Unrecorded History Chapter will be changed to 1 chapter, Region Rewards will be adjusted as follows.

- You can receive the adjusted Region Rewards even if you have already received Region Rewards for Unrecorded History before.

※ You can no longer enter nor receive any Region Rewards for the current version of Unrecorded History after the update on 1/19 (Thu). For those who have not received the Region Rewards for Unrecorded History, please receive all the Region Rewards before the update.

- Breath of Orbis, which could be acquired by clearing certain stages, will be changed to be acquired via new Achievements.

※ For those who already acquired Breath of Orbis by completing missions in Unrecorded History, the new achievements will be displayed as <Completed>.

■ Acquire Guardians

- The Guardian Kazran, who could be acquired by clearing the Mechanical Tower stage in Chapter 2, Reingar World in Unrecorded History, will be changed to be acquired after clearing S1. Highest Floor of the Automaton Tower in Unrecorded History.※ For those who already acquired the Guardian Kazran in Unrecorded History, the new achievements will be displayed as <Completed>. 

■ Achievement

- You can receive the changed Achievement Rewards even if you have already received Achievement Rewards for Unrecorded History before. (Excluding certain Achievements)

※ You can no longer receive Achievement Rewards that you did not receive before the update. For those who have not received the Achievement Rewards for Unrecorded History, please receive all the Achievement Rewards before the update.

■ Adventurer's Path Quest Adjustments

※ Quest rewards remain unchanged.

■ Specialty Change Quest Changes

- Some of the Specialty Change Quests for certain Heroes will be changed.

※ Quest rewards remain unchanged.

■ Connection Missions Changes

The difficulty level of missions for some Heroes will be reduced.

※ Quest rewards remain unchanged.

■  Guild Weekly Mission Changes

- The AP acquisition missions will no longer be fixed and will be randomly assigned instead.

- The AP acquisition missions will be merged into a single mission for obtaining AP from Unrecorded History.

The Guild Weekly Missions that were acquired before the update will remain unchanged, and the changes will apply to missions acquired in the future.

■ Other Improvements and Adjustments

- Buttons for [Unrecorded History] and [Move to the area where your last completed battle occurred in Episode 1 Epilogue] on the [Select Episode] screen will be removed.

- The text in [Help > Side Story > Unrecorded History] will be changed according to the improvements.

3. Episode Revamp: Adventure Volume Improvements

- Unlock missions for Episode 2 AP Exchange will be improved.

- The overall difficulty of clearing the AP Exchange Unlock mission in Episode 2, Trust Missions in Episode 3, and Awakened Adin missions in Episode 4 will be lowered.

 - APs required to purchase some items in the AP Exchanges in Episodes 2 and 3 will be lowered.

Five new 3★ Heroes from Natalon will be added.

The new Heroes Juni, Talaz, Lilka, Talia, and Suthan will be available in Summon after the 1/19 (Thu) maintenance.

5. Two New Exclusive Equipment

- New Exclusive Equipment for the 5★ Heroes, Krau and Sharun will be added to the Hall of Trials Exchange.

Players can obtain Exclusive Equipment from the Hall of Trials Exchange using Wisdom’s Gaze.

Exclusive Equipment stats and skill effects will be applied randomly when the equipment has been purchased.

■ The Exclusive Equipment of the 5★ Heroes, Haste, Bomb Model Kanna, and the 4★ Hero Assassin Cidd will be added to the Alchemist's Steeple.

6. Advent Side Story 「Enraged Blazing Emissary」

Dazzled Magnar is here to meet our Heirs with a new look!

Challenge this Side Story and acquire Light Connection, Greater Modification Gems, and a variety of rewards.

■ Schedule

■ How to Enter

After clearing Episode 2 Chapter 10-10, go to the Lobby and enter via tapping the Side Story icon.

■ How to Play

- The stage difficulties consist of 3 levels, Hard/Hell/Epic Hell.

- Players may select a higher difficulty after successfully clearing the one before it.

- Epic Hell difficulty can be cleared up to 5 times during the side story period.

※ Collected Little Flame of the Inferno can be exchanged for Inferno Origin in Exchange. (Max. 10 times)

[Enhanced Element]

- You must assign two or more Heroes of the same element to receive an enhanced element buff.

- The enhanced element buff for each team is different.

- The enhanced element buff of the team is proportional to the number of Heroes with the same element. 

※ Teams saved in this Advent Side Story will not be maintained in the next Advent Side Story.

※ Advent Side Story does not provide any EXP, Friendship EXP, and Penguin Mileage.

[Exchange]

- Players will be able to exchange the event currency, Little Flame of the Inferno and Inferno Origin, for items in the Exchange.

- Players will be able to exchange event currency for items up to one week after the Side Story ends. Unused event currency after that period will then be deleted.

7. Eda & Twilight Calamity Drop Rate Up

In this Drop Rate Up, meet Eda, an Ice elemental Mage, who is capable of manipulating the enemy's turns. You can also obtain a Mage exclusive Artifact, Twilight Calamity that increases Critical Hit Chance of all allies and increases the Effectiveness of the caster.

8. Ken & Samsara Prayer Beads Drop Rate Up!

In this Drop Rate Up event, meet the Fire elemental Warrior, Ken, who is capable of inflicting a wide variety of debuffs, as well as inflicting large amounts of damage using his unique vigor effect and the Warrior-exclusive Artifact, Samsara Prayer Beads that increases damage dealt when using a Single Attack and decreases damage suffered when attacked by a Single Attack!

9. 5★ Hero Death Dealer Ray Balance Adjustment

※ The probability and number of turns are based on fully enhanced characters.

※ Skill Cooldowns will not be changed unless stated.

■ 5★ Death Dealer Ray (Dark, Soul Weaver)

The 5★ Hero, Death Dealer Ray's skill, Anatomical Mutation, will be adjusted.

Please refer to the  1/19 (Thu) Death Dealer Ray Balance Adjustment Preview for more details. 

- Skill effect of Anatomical Mutaiton will be changed.

10. Other Improvements and Adjustments

■ Adventure and Story

- The narrative directions for some of the stories of Chapters 1/5/6 in Episode 2 will be changed.

- Some of the Hero's facial expressions that were not appropriate for the situations in the stories of the Special Side Story, Fairy Tale for a Snowy Day, will be adjusted.

- An issue where the scroll did not move upward when searching for a story in [Story Journal > Hero Stories], will be fixed.

- The incorrect Class display of Death Dealer Ray as an NPC in Episode 2 of Moonlight Theater will be fixed.

- An issue where the title at the top of the screen was not displayed correctly on the unlock pop-up screen in the Advent Side Story will be fixed.

- An issue where Boss Zio's skill, No More Games, did not activate after stealing the opponent's Invincible buff using his skill, Bow Down Before Me, in Episode 4, Chapter 10-5 Jealous Square, will be fixed.

- An issue where the functions did not work correctly when moving to AP Exchange by tapping the [Inventory > Catalyst > Move to] button on the [Side Story > Side Story List], will be fixed.

- An issue where the incorrect reward icon was displayed when tapping the Receive All button to receive the quest rewards for The Granny and the Two Reindeer quest in the Special Side Story, "Fairy Tale for a Snowy Day," will be fixed.

■ Heroes

- Adjustments will be made on the Hero Details screens to display the increased Dual Attack chance provided by the 3★ Hero, Taranor Guard's passive effect.

- An issue where the unique effect of the 5★ Hero Death Dealer Ray, was not displayed when he is in the Lobby, will be fixed.

- An issue where one of the voice lines of 'Ready' was missing for the 5★ Hero, Iseria, will be fixed.

- An issue where the wrong information was displayed in the skill preview after enhancing the skills of 5★ Hero, Shadow of the Archdemon, will be fixed.

■ World Arena Global Banned Heroes Announcement

- The following Heroes and Artifacts will be global banned in World Arena.

■ Memory Imprint Exclusive Ingredient Transmission Function Added

- The ability to transmit Ingredients for Memory Imprint will be added, allowing players to select and transmit the Ingredients after achieving an SSS rank for their Heroes.

ㄴ However, when the Hero that has achieved an SSS rank is in Waiting Room, the ingredients cannot be transmitted.

■ Other

- An issue where the transmitted Heroes were displayed when moving to the Hero Details screen via Quick Menu after transmitting Heroes, will be fixed.

- The descriptions for some music in Music Player will be changed.

- World Arena Replay History will automatically be removed after 15 days.

- World Arena Replay before the update will no longer be playable after the update on 1/19 (Thu).

- An intermittent issue where some of the banner images were not displayed properly on AOS devices, will be fixed.

- An issue of on-screen keyboards and text entered using them remaining on the screen after tapping the Enter button in-game on AOS devices will be fixed. 

- The game's title and copyright information displayed upon connecting to the game, will be changed.

- Improvements will be made to the Dual Attack effect descriptions so that they are only shown when necessary.

- The descriptions of the Floor 20 Modification Device for the Brass Season in the Automation Tower will be adjusted.

- An issue where certain Heroes were not resetting properly in the Raid Labyrinth, Azmakalis of Cycle, will be fixed.

- Improvements will be made to display the effect of obtaining Soul on the final hit after using a skill.
