[New/Returning Heir Tip] Asia / Zentoaster / Advice for Newer Players
- 2022.10.01 17:40 (UTC+0)
Hello New/Returning Heirs, here are some tips to help you out!
There are admittedly a lot of tips in this post but I've tried to space everything out as best as I can and I hope it helps! I have also made sure to address the areas wherein a lot of Newer/Returning Heirs would like advice. I wanted to make this as an "all encompassing guide" for new players to refer to whenever they feel lost or feel like reading more haha. This is my first post so let me know if I could add anything else! Happy reading Heirs!
- For free selector at the start of the game; good options are:
Vildred: - Good unit with AoE damage, If you plan not to go for Arbiter Vildred from Moonlight Blessing (A free selector slightly after) then get Vil
Destina: - A good healer which can be extremely useful earlier on when you dont have access to many healers
Ravi: - A good unit with survivability who can help with progression in the earlier/mid stages of the game
- For Moonlight Blessings:
Arbiter Vildred: The cooler version of Vildred, has a revive and a kill-resetting AoE attack that helps in PvE and PvP! Take now if you didn't choose Vildred, or don't mind running 2 vildreds!
Specter Tenebria: Has AoE attacks as well as poison and stealth, a good alternative to A.Vil if you already selected Vildred before
- Who do I summon/use/lookout for Rate Up?
At the start of the game it doesn't really matter but, try to get limited event/collab units as you need to wait a long time for them to come back. Just roll who you want, play who you want :)
- Good units who can spook you at random
Tamarinne: (Best PVE healer in the game, abuse if you get)
Apocalypse Ravi: (Best PVP unit in the game, abuse)
Any moonlight 5* unit is pog to be honest!
- Story Tips:
Use Free Spirit Tiera as you are given free materials and gear to progress her. She also has a quest line tied to using her which will give you useful stuff for other characters too!
For Team Comp, use Free Spirit Tiera, chosen Selector Unit, and the Moonlight Blessing Unit! Last slot can be flexed for whatever else you need! Progress by gearing, leveling and awakening these characters!
Team comp position ideas:
Tank, Healer, 2 DPS (most commonly used comp)
Healer, 3 DPS (makes PVE runs faster, less durable)
2 Healers, 2 DPS (slower but more reliable runs)
Example Starter Teams:
Free Spirit Tiera, Arbiter Vildred, Destina/Ravi, "Extra Unit"
Free Spirit Tiera, Vildred, Specter Tenebria, "Extra Unit"
"Extra Unit" can be whatever you want, if you need another healer, use a healer. Tank? use a tank? etc.
I personally recommend getting Montmorancy as the "Extra Unit" from connections ASAP and working towards her Specialty Change (more details down in "Connections" and "Specialty Change" sections!
- Early Artifact Advice:
Use "Exorcist Tonfas" on your DPS to increase their damage early!
As soon as you obtain "Aurius" place it on your Knight. "Aurius" will share damage taken by other units with the Knight so this will increase overall team survivability. Relatively easy to obtain as it is a 4* Artifact but "Adamant Shield" can be used in the mean time alternatively if you don't have "Aurius".
Besides Aurius, early on just run what artifacts you can. (Aurius is also why I recommend running at least 1 knight in PVE, makes ur DPS slightly tankier)
- What do I spend Sky Stones on?
Do not use skystones to buy bookmarks in the normal shop!
Use skystones in the secret shop. Click the guy standing behind the counter in the team lobby.
Use the skystones to refresh the shop and buy COVENANT BOOKMARKS and MYSTIC MEDALS with gold.
Refresh costs 3 stones each time. 5 Bookmarks (1 pull) costs 184,000 gold, 50 Mystic Medals (1 pull) costs 280,000 gold
As you can see this can get quite expensive but the Skystone:Summon Ratio is just much better overall.
Buy Bookmarks with Skystones in normal shop if you run out of patience or are broke gold wise and need to roll lol, always as last resort though!!!!
- Transmit Stones?
After "disenchanting" useless units and summoning, you may notice Silver and Gold Transmit Stones, where are these used?
By pressing shop, locate the Transmit Stone Shop tab and press it. You will see lots of items but what is worth getting?
Silver Transmit Stones: Molagora (Skill enhance currency for 4+ star units), Ego Fragments (Grab a couple of them, improves imprint bonus of characters), Equipment Conversion Gem (do not worry about it early, you'll thank me later tho) >>> everything else is optional for Silver Stones
Gold Transmit Stones: ALWAYS BUY THE 5 GALAXY BOOKMARKS!
- Other shop tips:
Use 100 friendship points daily on the free 40 energy!
Buy ring and necklace charms using the Ancient Coin Shop!
Arena is a good way to get Skystones passively. New Heirs can aim to sit at around Gold V, when you feel strong enough you want to ideally sit in Masters V and then Challenger V beyond. No need to stress with Arena, climb when you feel like you can. Progression in Arena gives currency for the Arena shop! Use the arena shop on useful items and gear to help with progression.
Shop Priority: Unknown Slate (Acts as a copy of a 5 star hero which can be used to Imprint units like Arbiter Vildred to make them stronger) > Gear (These gear have fixed base stats and are level 88, so they are really good starter gear, prioritize damage gear for your main dps first: CritChance, CritDmg, Atk, Speed etc.), Tanks/Supports after.
- Progression Tips:
When you start getting stuck with gear, do hunts! There is an event called Hunt Challenge which will give you a free 5* unit! Start with the Wyvern Challenge first as the gear there is good. You will also get Sigret for free from the challenge!
Free 5* Units for other hunts obtained from challenge are: Cermia (Golem), Vivian (Banshee).
Recommended Wyvern Comp:
Sigret (Free from the hunt challenge), Furious (Obtained from Connections), Angelica (Obtainable by finishing Chapter 1), Muwi (Only way to get is from rolling but its a 3*) -> Leveling up this comp will get you to Wyvern 13 easily!
I personally used: Sigret, Furious, Muwi, Angelic Montmorancy to Wyvern 13!
Connection units are very good to help beef up your roster. In the lobby, press on the left side of the screen where the person is sitting! You can complete tasks to gain favor and finally unlock those characters for your team permanently!
Notable Connection Heroes: Montmorancy (Healer that can be specialty changed), Lorina (Boss unit that can be specialty changed), Furious (Wyvern Crit Buffer), Angelica (Wyvern healer)
- Specialty Change:
When you reach a certain point in progression, you will be able to unlock "Specialty Change". This will allow you to basically improve weaker 3 star units into stronger versions. These are especially worth doing as they become much stronger and can be used in place of 5 stars in the right content.
Notable Specialty Changes: Montmorancy > Angelic Montmorancy (Strong Healer/Cleanser), Ras > Adventurer Ras (Stronger version of Main Character), Lorina > Commander Lorina (Good Boss Unit), Falconer Kluri (Strong Tank/Stripper)
PLEASE COMPLETE RAS SPECIALITY CHANGE AS SOON AS YOU UNLOCK! IT IS SUPER USEFUL.
There are probably a lot of things I am missing but this post is already long enough. Hopefully this advice can help Returning/New Heirs out. Try to finish up to Chapter 2 and then start working on developing your PVP comp. By this point you will probably no longer have any need for this guide but congratulations if you made it here!
I wholeheartedly wish all Heirs both new and old a pleasant Epic Seven experience, good luck and happy adventuring!
