Tip #1: Selective Summon
Starting out, you will progress through the tutorial and story until 1 - 4, the tutorial will then direct you to the recruit/summon feature, and you'll also unlock Selective Summon. Selective summon lets you summon 30 multis and you will have a chance to get one(1) 5 star unit from a limited set of characters present in Selective Summon to help you progress through the early stages of the game. Ideally, you'd want to pick Ravi or Iseria as your starter as both of them are strong and will carry you through the early stages of the game (with Iseria being the better choice as she is extremely relevant on a lot of early to late game PvE content).
Tip #2: Adventurers Path
While browsing through the lobby, you'll notice an avatar like frame on the right side of your screen. That is the adventurers path, upon pressing the adventurers path, you will see multiple different categories of quests that you should definitely complete as they will give you tons of rewards that will help you through your progression.
Tip #3: Moonlight Blessing
As you progress through the story (Episode 1 1-10 to be specific), you will eventually unlock Moonlight Blessing. Moonlight Blessing is basically a Moonlight 5* Hero Selector from a limited set of units. Choosing a unit will automatically let you have your chosen unit but their usage would be limited as they are locked through 4 different Quests/Requirement that you need to attain or do before unlocking and using them without any restrictions. You'd want to choose between Arbiter Vildred (If you want a Cleaver and Faster Progression through the Story) and Specter Tenebria (Very useful in every single content of the game, especially Abyss and Hell Raid). I'd say that picking Specter Tenebria would be the better choice here as progressing through the Adventurers Path will eventually give you a maxed out Free Spirit Tieria which should be enough to cleave through most stages in Story mode.
Tip #4: Stuck? Upgrade your Gears!
As you progress through the story and different contents of the game, you'll eventually hit a wall and may think that you are stuck within that certain part of the game. But don't worry, gears given through the Adventurers path should carry you through Episode 2 4-10(Progressing through the story until this stage will let you unlock almost all the content in the game). I recommend upgrading the free Lvl 70 Speed Set gear given on Adventurers Path and put it on Free Spirit Tieria and that should do the trick, don't worry about using your enhancement materials, you'll be needing this Lvl 70 speed gear for your Wyvern team later on.
Tip #5: Preparing for Wyvern Hunt
After clearing Episode 2 4-10, you should now focus on building your Wyvern 13 team. Hunts especially Wyvern will be your main source of go-to gears from early until late game. Why Wyvern and not other hunts? Because Wyvern hunt is where you get Speed gears and crafting materials to craft gear sets that Wyvern Drops (Crit/Speed/Hit). Remember, Speed is King in this game. Also, don't forget to get your free Sigret(Best Wyvern DPS) on the Events Tab -> Hunt Expert Event. Doing the Hunt Expert Event will provide you materials, gears, and other useful resources that will help you build your Hunt units. For an In-depth Wyvern 13 Guide(preferred units, gears, etc.), you may refer to an excel sheet here.
Tip #6: Raids
Lastly, Raids. After building up a consistent Wyvern 13 Team, you should now focus on building and gearing up your hell raid team, this is where you will get a guarantee good quality gears per month(Immunity Chest and/or Speed Weapon every reset) aside from hunts, you definitely don't want to miss out on this.
