Story progression questions [4]

What sets do you use for aoe dmg heroes and single target dmg hero? Atk and spd? Atk and crit? For story bosses?

I guess what I'll say is that this is a very, very, vague question. In the most general terms set doesn't matter in terms of "this hero is AoE and this one is single target," or "this one is for story and this one is for PvP." Generally PvP is dominated by spd sets and counter sets, a few lifesteals, while any and everything can work in PvE if you get the right hero and stat mix. Most people will run either free gear or spd sets because free gear is free and spd sets is what they're usually farming so have extra of lying around. But you really need to specify what you're wanting to fight, having trouble beating, for clear and specific advice.

You can't use Atk + Spd sets together. Just slap the best atk/crit set on your main DPS unit and the free health set on your Tank/Healer. AoE for story preferred since it will make the fights quicker. The goal is to finish the story and the adventurer's path challenges so you can move on to farming hunts.

Additionally, you can get a pretty good atk set and health set from the Hunt/Mola Challenge. I forget which one.
Side Story gear, AP shop gear (Episode 2), Labyrinth gear can be decent if you're struggling early.

My first time through I used whatever I had. There was a free ATT set I put on my main DPS... and some free HP stuff that I put on a healer. MoonCake is spot-on.

When stuff got too hard, I tweaked the setup until it worked again.

In the story, you can literally pick a hero you like, put ATT% in each slot, and beat most of the content up until the bosses start requiring some thought and strategy (that's somewhere in Episode 2 or 3 I think).

Atk speed or atk crit, aoe or single atk doesnt matter too much.

You can just put anything especially at the earlier stages, if you can' t still farm hunt13 then your best is finding the 4set and just use it,

To deal damage you need crit that is why crit set at the early stage are very good.

To finish the story and fight boss. I think you don't need a very high end gear, just a decent gear and stat are enough, just try to have 1 unit which can deal great single attack damage, since the boss is usually just 1, it make a fight faster and easier rather than lot of aoe.
