Can you even balance your own game? [5]

Are you done with rebuffing and rebuffing the likes of DJB, Haste, Choux and Wanderer Silk for the xth time? Just this rebalancing alone you have at least 4 out of 7 heroes rebuffed! As if 1 is not embarrassing enough, you make it quadruple! Unbelievable!

At this point it just show how embarrassingly incompetent your rebalancing team are that you guys are incapable of balancing your own game!

    I think the problem is because the "No nerf" things

    Because they don't nerf units, they are afraid of buffing units

    If they over buff them they can't nerf it

    So each time they buff a unit they would only buff them minimally resulting in the need for rebuff (for example DJB's first buff was pretty bad)

    But even by using this method, problems still occur (Violet for example)

    If they start nerfing units then they won't be afraid to try buffing units 

    Cause even if a unit turns out too OP you can still nerf it

    But well, I guess you could say there are some pros of not nerfing a unit like you know a unit you like will not ever be worst than what it is

    All of them were buffed for the 2nd time. I'm not sure about W Silk, could be her 3rd buff. In any case, everyone except Choux, deserve their buffs, they're old heroes who have been bad for a long time.

    All of this could have been easily avoided if they only bit the bullet, nerfed the biggest offenders who are packing way to much of everything in a single character and after that the can continue with the new way they`ve been trying balancing and reworking (this and the previous Balance Patch).

    But no. Ofc we cant take the simple and most obvious way out. We have to complicate it endlessly and in the process create even more problems down the line.

    This game could have some longevity (though not really ESports one, coz thats just not possible with a game that has such heavy reliance on RnG gear stats.) but for that the most obvious problems need to addressed, not swept under the rug, and then pay off the players with few freebies to hopefully shut them up for a while again > which is no longer working btw. Even bribing people has its limits and people will tolerate only so much.

    This is generally such a tough topic but after 3 years I agree that their balancing team doesn't seem to have an idea of what they are doing. Balancing is tough but some of their balancing choices are purely money driven

    1. No nerfs - they would have to reimburse people if a nerfed unit falls out of viability. If the unit is near "useless" after the nerfs means the same as wasting all those resources the players used on it. From a business standpoint they naturally don't want to do that 'cus they want to sell packs.

    2. Disingenuous balancing - They combine nerfs with buffs. They show us that they can nerf but don't want to embrace it on clear outliers for reasons stated above.

    3. Self serving buffs - Look at DJB. He will most likely be quite strong after his buff yet I hope I am not the only one who really liked his old kit. But no, they rather destroy it and wall off a new meta influence mechanic behind an ML5 to make more $$$ instead of giving it to an new RGB unit

    Wouldn't be a problem if they gave these kinds of "buffs" (the destina and Alencia treatment) to the units that really need them :^)
