Sort the heroes by level
Select a 3* hero(phantasma for example)and level it up
After you level it up and promote it using the button on the leveling up screen,if there is 2* heroes(applies only to phantasmas),the sorting will sort the heroes by level and that will be the 2* max leveled phantasma even if there is lower level heroes of different grade or the same

If a 2* phantasmas does not exist even if you still have 3* dogs(or 2* fodders)which are not leveled up,after the same process(level up a 3* and promote it)when you auto return back to the list after the promotion,the selected hero will be the new 4* phantasma even if you still have 3* dogs so you have to filter to 3* dogs again

There is no bulk leveling up system so when you want to level up a phantasmas you have to go back to the list after leveling up which makes that promote button useless since you can use the bulk promotion feature but you still have to level up=>go back=>level up=>go back=>do some filtering when needed and then bulk promote...and we are back to square one

or you could like, not filter at all when using mass promotion so that it just levels everything available? why on earth are you doing things that way. theres literally nothing wrong with promotion youre just using it wrong, somehow, amazingly, because it's pretty ***** proof.

If I level up 3* heroes(not 2* fodders promoted to 3*),the mass promotion will do nothing
Is there is some kind of rule that I need to use ONLY phantasmas or 2* fodders when leveling and promoting heroes

that's not a bug. that's to prevent accidents and applies to all heroes regardless of rarity you numbskull. mass promotion is for actual fodder. so to this next quote...

yes...

why would you want to mass promote 3* heroes anyway? are you actually using them for fodder and not banking them for silver stones? i cringe thinking of how much time-gated stuff you've lost over the years if so.
