Thoughts on Vampiric Touch [14]

Vampiric Touch needs to rework itself to a buff like vigor or increase the heal amount. Out of all the debuffs, I think Vampiric Touch is the weakest in the game. Every character that uses it gets blown up the very next turn after applying it. Even in PVE, it isn't reliable due to the abysmal amount of heal it offers. What's everyone's take on this?

While I agree it's quite useless, why would they rework it? There's only a grand total of 1 character and 1 artifact that can apply it.

Haste is useless anyways, vampiric touch or not

Bloody Rose, ppl mainly just use that on Luluca to make her a better debuffer for wyvern, so the debuff effect doesn't even matter

I do agree that a rework/buff on the vampiric touch would be more than welcome

it would be really nice for my little brother Haste (who needs more than just that)

and it would also open this debuff to some other characters

I agree in some terms the vampiric touch needs to be reworked because it ***** that when inflicting it it doesnt give as much health regain back and sometimes its only inflicted for one turn.its ******** that in campaign when the enemies inflicts it they regain a huge amount of hp back

VT is a reversed Heal buff. If I recall, it heals attacker for 15% of their HP. So it can be used to heal tanks.

Now that I think about it, it most likely 'stacks'. Imagine if you could land 4 of it and a hero with aoe attacks heals themselves for 60%HP.

I wish Heal Buff was buffed. Make it decrease Injury by 5% before healing. VT buff would be nice as well.

nah, even SG make so much buff in game, they always favor and make decrease defense as all of all mighty debuff to exist, example like arh meru patch before, plus eda too. Sure she is getting buff but to just replacing every existing debuff in game with decrease defense and call it a 'buff' and kills the myriad numbers of debuff in game is just lame.

I don't think VT is itself as weak as suggested, but that it is highly limited. Any team that needs the heals it would provide from equipping Bloody Rose to the team's Mage isn't exactly a team that is built for tackling tough content or higher-tier PvP. Even the more popular Bloodstone option is less likely to help here, but it has the benefit of variety, as a number of Rangers can use it effectively. And unlike Bloodstone, VT can be cleansed/resisted, so it's not guaranteed. Add that Haste and Serila are such a maligned characters that so far no one has even mentioned that Serila also has VT on her kit (her S3).

Bloody Rose was designed around Melissa's kit (big eff boost on single atks, each one a 50% shot at applying VT). But her use isn't so conducive to that since she's used to blow things up. Hence the problem - VT as a skill is meant for long-haul support in a world of playstyles looking more for quick, big, impact.

At least it's good for a supporter mage in light expo. That's just in case your DPS units don't have enough output to heal themselves till the end

It is really strong, you just can't use it correctly.

I have Bloody Rose on my Researcher Carrot.  I don't get *huge* heals off VT, but the effectiveness boost to her S1 is GREAT.  When she detonates the burn effects, they go OFF!  To me, the VT is a nice bonus, and sometimes, it has made a difference in a battle when it hits the boss in the third battle.
