Hello Heirs! This is Epic Seven.

We sincerely appreciate the interest and support of all of our Heirs who have continued their adventures with us in Epic Seven.

 

With this balance adjustment, we plan to implement changes to 5 Heroes and 2 Artifacts. These changes are scheduled to take effect following the update on 10/28.

 

1. Balance Adjustment Targets

 

With this balance adjustment, certain Heroes and Artifacts that have been absent in the current meta will be adjusted.

The details of the balance adjustment for the selected Heroes and Artifacts can be seen below.

Mediator Kawerik was initially designed to be a Warrior capable of protecting allies however far too high stats for the Hero were required. After this adjustment, Mediator Kawerik will increase his own Combat Readiness to take a turn earlier and dispel enemy buffs with Balance of Power. The strength of barriers and the damage by Balance of Power are increased for better performance in battle.

Nature Restoration will now increase Combat Readiness of the caster by 50% and decrease the debuff duration of the caster by 1 turn under a condition, easing the need to set proper Equipment.

Icy Impact (After)

Attacks the enemy with shards of ice, with a 65% (75% max) chance to make them unhealable for 1 turn.

Cold Snap (Before)

Cold Snap (After)

Attacks all enemies with an explosion of ice, dispelling one buff before decreasing Combat Readiness by a random amount between 5% and 20%A critical hit will decrease Combat Readiness by an additional 10%.

Attacks all enemies with an explosion of ice, dispelling two buffs before decreasing Combat Readiness by a random amount between 15% and 40%Grants the caster skill nullifier once.

Soulburn (10): Skill cooldown is decreased by 2 turns.

Soulburn (20): Grants an extra turn.

Absolute Zero (Before)

Absolute Zero (After)

Releases energy to attack all enemies, with a 60% (85% max) chance to stun for 1 turn.

Releases energy to attack all enemies, with a 60% (85% max) chance to stun for 1 turn and increases Combat Readiness of all allies by 20%. When an ally uses a non-attack skill and this skill is available, increases Combat Readiness of the caster by 20%.

 

Eda was designed to be a team supporter by stunning all enemies, and decreasing their Combat Readiness while increasing allies' Combat Readiness. However, her Speed and the actual performance of her skills did not meet expectations. In order to address the issue, we have changed Cold Snap to dispel two buffs and decrease far much more Combat Readiness of enemies.

When an ally uses a non-attack skill and Absolute Zero is available, this skill increases Combat Readiness of Eda, enabling her to take the next turn faster. When you have enough Soul, use the changed Soulburn, Cold Snap, and Absolute Zero together to maximize the effectiveness of the skills.

In addition, to enhance the actual effects of Icy Impact, we have replaced "unhealable" effect with Defense decreasing effect instead.

 

Yufine

Hits the enemy with a finishing blow, dispelling all buffs and stunning for 1 turn.

Even though Yufine is capable of inflicting much damage and a variety of effects, players were not able to use her core skill Dragon Charge as often as needed. After this adjustment, the skill cooldown of Dragon Charge has decreased by 1 turn, and it increases Effectiveness of the caster for 2 turns.

We expect the skill to be available more often and inflict more damage throughout battles. Effectiveness increased by this skill will also help Double Slash and Dragon's Roar hit enemies better.

Sequential Cutter (Before)

Sequential Cutter (After)

Quickly strikes the enemy with a sword, recovering Health proportional to damage dealt. Caster's Combat Readiness increases by 50% when the enemy is defeated.

Quickly strikes the enemy with a sword, recovering Health proportional to damage dealt. Increases Combat Readiness of the caster by 15% and when the enemy is defeated, increases Combat Readiness of the caster by an additional 35%.

As Health decreases, Attack, Defense, and Speed increase.

Blade Art: Dragon (Before)

Blade Art: Dragon (After)

Attacks all enemies, sacrificing 20% of the caster's Health. Increases Combat Readiness of the caster by 50% when an enemy is defeated.

Attacks all enemies, sacrificing 20% of the caster's Health and increases Attack of the caster for 2 turns. Increases Combat Readiness of the caster by 50% when an enemy is defeated. This skill cannot trigger a counterattack.

Blade Art: Dragon (Awakened) (Before)

Attacks all enemies, sacrificing 20% of the caster's Health. Grants the caster an extra turn when an enemy is defeated.

The main features of Blood Blade Karin are a trait that she increases her stats as her Health decreases and Blade Art: Dragon that inflicts a great amount of damage to all enemies. However, it was difficult to keep her up on the battlefield after her Health drops once.

Cursed Sword has been modified to grant the caster immortality for 1 turn at the start of the battle, saving the Hero from powerful attacks at the very beginning phase of the battle. Blade Art: Dragon will also increase Attack of the caster while preventing any counterattacks from the enemies. Additionally, Sequential Cutter will increase Combat Readiness more, enabling the Hero to take turns more often.

The effect of Cursed Sword will now reflect her Health more sensitively and the decrease in Health by Blade Art: Dragon will apply on Cursed Sword immediately. 

1-1-4. Covenant / 3

 

Zealot Carmainerose

Order Rune (Before)

Order Rune (After)

When attacking, increases Effectiveness by 20% if the target is an Earth elemental Hero.

After using Vampirism, has a 100% chance to increase Combat Readiness of the caster by 5%.

Disease Rune (Before)

Disease Rune (After)

Has a 60% chance to make unhealable for 1 turn when attacking an Earth elemental Hero with Vampirism.

Has a 60% chance to inflict unhealable for 1 turn when attacking the target with Vampirism.

Wedge Rune (Before)

Wedge Rune (After)

When attacking, increases Effectiveness by 30% if the target is an Earth elemental Hero.

When the caster’s Health is 50% or more when using Spiteful Annihilation, has a 100% chance to increase Effectiveness of the caster for 2 turns before the skill effect.

Trust Rune (Before)

Trust Rune (After)

When buffs are successfully dispelled by Spiteful Annihilation, increases Combat Readiness of the ally except for the caster with the highest Attack by 20%.

Runes will be adjusted so that Zealot Carmainerose can be more effective in different game modes. We have eased the conditions required to activate Rune effects and enhanced the effects of each Rune.

 

■ Order Rune

Order Rune has been adjusted to increase Combat Readiness of the caster after using Vampirism.

 

■ Disease Rune

Disease Rune has been adjusted to have a 60% chance to inflict unhealable when attacking the target of any elements with Vampirism.

 

■ Wedge Rune

Wedge Rune has been adjusted to increase Effectiveness of the caster before the skill effect when using Spiteful Annihilation and the caster’s Health is 50% or more. The current Order Rune and Wedge Rune increase Effectiveness only when the caster attacks Earth elemental enemies. But now, the Runes will take their effects when the caster's Health is above 50% regardless of the elements of the enemies.

 

■ Trust Rune

Trust Rune will now increase Combat Readiness of the caster as well with other current effects of the Rune remaining unchanged. With Order Rune and Trust Rune improved, Zealot Carmainerose will be able to dispel buffs better with more turns given when fighting against enemies capable of granting themselves buffs.

 

1-2. Artifact Balance Adjustments

Black Hand of the Goddess

The caster's Critical Hit Chance and Critical Hit Damage increase by 24% at the start of battle. Effect decreases by 2.4% every time the caster attacks, down to 12%.

The caster's Critical Hit Chance and Critical Hit Damage increase by 24% at the start of battle. Effect decreases by 1.2% every time the caster attacks, down to 18%.

 

Black Hand of the Goddess increases both Critical Hit Chance and Critical Hit Damage and the effect weakens as the Hero takes more turns.

Currently, enhancing Black Hand of the Goddess also increases the drop value of the effect. But after the adjustment, the value will be fixed at 1.2% regardless of the enhancement level of this Artifact.


1-2-2. Artifact / 4

 

Shepherds of Chaos

As Health decreases, Evasion and Defense increase by up to 40%.

Increases Defense by 10%.

As Health decreases, Evasion and Defense increase by up to 40%.

 

Shepherds of Chaos is an Artifact that increases Evasion and Defense as Health decreases.

However, many Thief Heroes could not benefit from the Artifact as their basic Defense is low, and they could not stay up longer during battle once they are attacked. After this adjustment, the Artifact will increase the caster's Defense by 10% at all times, helping the Heroes endure enemy attacks further on the battlefield.

 

 

These are the proposed balance adjustments and improvements that are scheduled for the update on 10/28. The opinions you have shared in each of our communities continue to be one of the best sources of inspiration. We hope that our Heirs will give us their valuable opinions about this balance adjustment and we will continue to try our best to improve the Heroes in our game so that each and every character can be utilized by our Heirs.

    BESTWell, NO solitaria and not even JKise? This 10 yearplan needs to kick up a notch and buff more ML 5 units at a time.

    So another long wait for a buff of one of those. Lame.

    So basically ML Kawerik will be able to use his s3 no matter what, even if he get stunned unless he is pushed back or two turn stun. Nice! And bbk buffs should bring her back into the game

      The problem is she needs a complete overhaul that doesn't damage her PVE. She needs straight up things inside her kit that are good to use. She needs to be a support/bruiser but they are basically refusing to and she will still be useless no matter what.

    I wanted Sez, but I’ll take that BBK and Eda buff, Mediator Kawerik looks a lot better but we gotta see him in action, and Yufine was pointless, should’ve been Sez or Kayron instead.

    Really disappointed with the balance patch notes. You can do better Smilegate. I was expecting JKise buff, but that's on me for having such expectations.

      ZiennI'm not saying 250 res great. I have 220 f.Tene. Of course 250-270 won't save most of time. But if you have Maid you will still prefer use her over DIlibet. Now Mawerik way better than Dilibet. I'm talking about all fight and not first turn cleanse. Dilibet controlled way too easy after her first turn. Maid can bring you back in fight even skipping turn. Also those awful fights when you used Dilibet, but half debuffs were resisted and she can't get passive. Or another fast hero in opponents team that can shut down her after passive proc. Not even mention against AngelAngelica you give skill null and cr push when you cleanse. And can activate many counters too. She is still decent hero. If you're a new player. But in the late game easier to make other teams than waste time on Dilibet

    Sidenote : I like Eda buffs, one of my favorite design in game and I will finally be able to use her.

                      Also if I remember correctly there was an issue with bbk which a recall should have 

                     granted a 4* ml selector but you fixed and buffed her instead so no free angelica of light I suppose :)

      There wasn't really a recallable issue. S3 just didn't trigger her passive as her passive had 25% breakpoints and it only reduced 20%. At least that was my understanding of it.

    J kise really needed that "this skill cannot trigger a counterattack" on her S2 that you gave to BBK's S3.

      I also find it weird that JKise doesn't receive that, even if it's just "no counterattack" on her S2 and literally nothing else that's still a huge buff for her.

      GalesThere is still hope for next months Balance patch. Thats when the RTA skin grind becomes real anyway so maybe they are keeping it for the last second. I mean a man can dream right ?
