What defense team do you recommend for challanger 5 [15]

Since Straze and O.Sigret were released(and especially Landy),it's just a waste to bring FCC

What team would you recommend that will be annoying to deal with(it may not win but it will be annoying for the attacker since it will take long time)

My problem is as always speed and if I get above 200 speed,my heroes start to become really squishy since I keep getting low rolls on speed

A team that don't need to go first(the new angelica(if I get her)will probably help

I second the poster who said Politis.  She does good against maid chloe and if you have abyssal crown can really screw up the attacking team.  I have also gotten wrecked single handledly by counter rem, violet, and or ravi.

How the h** did this defense team win against that attack team

    FCC,LR Krau,Ruele and G.Purrgis vs D.Corvus,Ruele,Straze and BM Haste

Did the lighting kill them or what?

I dont think a hero is useless just because sg releases 1 or 2 soft counters for the hero, i mean look at arby there are tons of counter and even hard counter and he is still there in high champion defense even legend, ofcourse fcc are also still there.

There is a lot of way to go around it, maybe you can use rem, so if enemy use straze then rem go berserk and remove his invincibility, maybe you can go with lqc to snipe him, maybe you use revive team ,etc. Easiest way is just copy the top player in the arena ranking.

All said and done, i dont think arena defense is supposed to be something to be stressed over for losing, since there is no perfect defense anyway, the higher you go the lower your win percentage will be.

I will outline my concept for you: the def team must have anti-cleave, as well as some opposition to the teams using the auto mode (for example, like the good old SSB) + the team must have at least 2 threats. Also, a very important factor in def is RNG and surprise. Examples of rng factor-MLDB and units with dodge, counterattacks, etc. Examples of surprise - fast T. Surin (instead of LS build) following Cerise, or an example from my personal arsenal - 30k hp G. Purrgis (PoV) or Senya (28k, ~ 4k atk) in the FSS company (Aurius) - a good countermeasure for Straze, etc.

For me, the team LRK (Bastion) + Politis (Violin) + Senya + Arbi (degen, mldb, 17k + hp) was quite successful. Due to the bastion, Arbi had about 23k hp. Senya has the highest amount of HP and serves as protection from Straze. Politis-like anticleave, LRK - SSB and other debuffers. This team held about ~40% win rate in champion. Now I'm just testing others, maybe I'll return to the one described.

Before Straze, Rem and Violet were meta, my def team of FCC (aurius, fastest unit 215 spd), LRK (adamant, 205 spd), counter Politis (violin, 16k hp, 1.3k def, 200 spd), and Degen Arby (mldb, 4.1k atk, 14.5k hp, 1.2k def, 280 cdmg) was around 30-35% win rate.

But now I had to adjust as these new and buffed units were winning more and more, so my team now is FCC (same stats), Violet (mldb lifesteal, 3.6k atk, 17k hp, 1.1k def, 280 cdmg), Rem (sigurds, counter set, 3.5k atk, 16k hp, 1.4k def, 255 cdmg), and Degen Arby (same stats). Winrate is around 35%. Rem can sort of serve as alternate to violin Politis as she can aoe counter and reduce buff durations.
