Thanks to your support and love, Epic Seven will be celebrating its 3rd anniversary.

 

The adventures that our Heroes went on are even more special thanks to the Heirs who accompanied them.


We sincerely appreciate the interest and support of all of our Heirs who have continued their adventures with us in Epic Seven.

 

With this balance adjustment, we plan to implement changes to 7 Heroes and 2 Artifacts. These changes are scheduled to take effect following the update on 9/2.



1. Balance Adjustment Targets

 

With this balance adjustment, certain Heroes and Artifacts that have been absent in the current meta will be adjusted.

The details of the balance adjustment for the selected Heroes and Artifacts can be seen below.

Delivers divine judgment down upon the enemy. When the enemy is defeated, revives one random dead ally with 5% Health and grants skill nullifier once. Damage dealt increases proportional to the caster's max Health.

Delivers divine judgment down upon the enemy. When the enemy is defeated, revives one random dead ally with 15% Health and grants skill nullifier once. Damage dealt increases proportional to the caster's max Health. Damage dealt by this skill increases every time somebody dies. Effect can only stack up to 3 times.

Deliverance: Soul Exchange (Awakened) (Before)

Deliverance: Soul Exchange (Awakened) (After)

Delivers divine judgment down upon the enemy. When the enemy is defeated, revives one random dead ally with 10% Health and increases their Combat Readiness by 100% before granting skill nullifier once. 

Damage dealt increases proportional to the caster's max Health.

Delivers divine judgment down upon the enemy. When the enemy is defeated, revives one random dead ally with 30% Health and increases their Combat Readiness by 100% before granting skill nullifier once. 

Damage dealt increases proportional to the caster's max Health. Damage dealt by this skill increases every time somebody dies. Effect can only stack up to 3 times.

 
With this adjustment, Apocalypse Ravi will continuously strengthen her skill, Deliverance: Soul Exchange during battle. Also, she is now expected to be able to have more turns more frequently.

Deliverance: Soul Exchange will deal more damage each time somebody dies, and this effect can stack up to a maximum of three times. The longer that Apocalypse Ravi is able to stay alive in battle, the more chances she will have to revive a fallen ally and deal more damage using Deliverance: Soul Exchange. Additionally, allies who are revived by Apocalypse Ravi will be brought back with more Health and will potentially be able to better withstand enemy attacks after being revived. 

 
War God's Might has been granted a new effect that increases the caster's Combat Readiness upon being attacked and Spectral Axe will now inflict injuries and deal more damage when using its Soulburn effect. Try attacking enemies by inflicting multiple injuries using Spectral Axe and finishing them off with Deliverance: Soul Exchange.

Ragnar Spear (Before)

Soars into the air and hits the enemy with a spear, with a 100% chance to decrease Defense for 2 turns.

Soars into the air and attacks with a spear, with a 100% chance to decrease Defense for 2 turns. Penetrates the target's Defense by 50%. Acquires 5 additional Souls when the enemy is defeated.

Luna’s skill, Ragnar’s Spear, used to be able to inflict a large amount of damage onto her enemies. However, as the battle environment has changed, so has her ability to be as effective as she was before. 

With this balance adjustment, Ragnar’s Spear will be changed so that it will be able to penetrate the enemy’s defense by 50% allowing her to deal much more damage against enemies that have a high defense. Also, this skill will now gain Souls upon defeating an enemy. 

 
Dragon Knight's Will will help Luna survive in battle by providing increased Critical Hit Chance and Critical Hit Resistance at all times.

 
The Soulburn effect for Luna has been adjusted, so that when it is used now, it will grant the maximum number of strikes possible for Infinity Slash, allowing players to finish off low Health enemies on the battlefield. 

Kawerik

Dimensional Corridor (Before)

Dimensional Corridor (After)

Attacks the enemy in a dimensional corridor, with a 100% chance each to dispel two buffs before increasing skill cooldowns by 1 turn twice. Damage dealt increases proportional to the target's Speed.

Although Kawerik was initially designed to be able to weaken powerful enemies with Dimensional Corridor and then deal a great amount of damage to all enemies with Dimensional Explosion, this wasn't actually the case due to his lack of defensive abilities.

With these improvements, stealth will be granted by Dimensional Corridor instead of Dimensional Explosion. This will allow Kawerik the ability to increase the enemy's skill cooldown and give him time to plan the next attack thanks to stealth.

 

One Exclusive Equipment option has also been improved.

Increases Attack of the caster for 2 turns when using Dimensional Corridor.

The effect that increases Attack of the caster when using Dimensional Corridor will be changed and will now increase Attack before attacking when using Dimensional Explosion.

 
Players will be able to change the effect of the Exclusive Equipment for two weeks after the balance adjustments. Exclusive Equipment that had adjustments to their options and were obtained prior to the adjustment are eligible to be changed. When a player changes the options, other effects of the Exclusive Equipment will remain unchanged and option changes cannot be reversed.

Advent: Mortelix (Before)

Descends and attacks all enemies, inflicting injuries. The caster becomes enraged for 2 turns and recovers Health. Damage dealt and amount recovered increase proportional to the caster's max Health. The severity of injuries increases proportional to damage dealt. Injuries decrease max Health of the target by up to 15% every time this skill is used.

Mort will be adjusted so that he can inflict more powerful injuries onto the opponent as well as have the chance to counterattack, allowing him to take maximum advantage of the rage effect, which will help him become highly influential on the battlefield.

Advent: Mortelix will inflict more damage and stronger injuries. Additionally, Mort will have a chance to counterattack upon being attack and have a higher chance to grant Sacred Blessing.

The Soulburn effect of Advent: Mortelix will be shifted to Extermination, which will increase the chance of him being able to inflict the debuff, decrease defense onto his enemies. This change will allow the Hero to overpower the enemy when enraged.

Roaming Warrior Leo

Fire Shockbomb (Before)

Fire Shockbomb (After)

Fires a shockbomb at the enemy, with a 100% chance to increase skill cooldown by 1 turn. Decreases skill cooldown of Go, Racoo! by 1 turn. At the end of the turn, detonates bombs inflicted on the enemy.

Roaming Warrior Leo will be adjusted so that he can more effectively use bombs.

Go, Racoo! will decrease enemy buff durations by 1 turn before decreasing Speed and planting a bomb on his enemies. Also, this skill grants skill nullifier to the caster, allowing him to be better prepared for the next attack inflicted upon him.

One effect from Fire Shockbomb, which increased the enemy's skill cooldown will be changed so that it now decreases the enemy's defense, allowing for bombs to increase the amount of damage they cause. Detonating bombs will deal more damage as well.

Dominiel will be more specialized in battles against Heroes who utilize critical hits.

Her skill, Blizzard Cape will be replaced with Nixied's Grace, which will have the chance to activate Blizzard Cape when an ally suffers a critical hit. When an ally suffers a critical hit, her passive skill, Nixied's Grace, will have a chance to be activated and provide protection to her allies.

 
The amount of Combat Readiness that is reduced by Ice Spear will be reduced, but the effect chance will be increased, allowing for the effect to take place more frequently.


Furthermore, in order to make this Hero more influential against her enemies, the skill Hail will now have a chance to stun the enemy and its Soulburn will further increase that higher.

Dimensional Rupture (Before)

If used when there are three or fewer enemies, activates Dimensional Rupture again, and damage dealt increases as enemies become fewer. When activated this way, Dimensional Rupture deals decreased damage, and can only be activated once.

Attacks all enemies with a light sphere, with a 70% chance to dispel one buff. If used when there are three or fewer enemies, damage dealt increases as enemies become fewer. When the caster is granted increased Attack, activates Dimensional Rupture as an extra attack. Mercedes will undergo many changes and become a Hero that players can utilize in a variety of situations.


With these adjustments, Blazing Eye of Kal will increase Attack of all allies after attacking. A critical hit will also increase the damage dealt. These changes will allow Mercedes to be a stronger force at the start of a battle.


Dimensional Rupture will be changed so that it has a chance to dispel a buff from her enemy. It will also allow Mercedes to use this skill as an extra attack if she has been granted increased Attack, which can be effective when used after Blazing Eye of Kal. As Dimensional Rupture will grant an extra turn with the same skill more often, its Soul gain has been slightly decreased.


An effect that increases Combat Readiness of the caster has been added to Divine Bolt.


Prior to these changes, Dimensional Rupture and Blazing Eye of Kal had relatively low basic damage values and skill enhancing these skills increased the basic damage value by too much. After this balance update, the basic damage for these skills will increase, while the benefits granted via enhancing Mercedes's skill will be adjusted.

1-2. Artifact Balance Adjustments

Merciless Glutton

Increases the caster's Combat Readiness by 15% when an enemy is defeated, with a 100% chance to increase Effectiveness for 2 turns. Can only be activated once per skill.

When using a Single Attack, increases damage dealt by 16%.

When defeating an enemy with a Single Attack, increases Combat Readiness of all allies except for the caster by 12%.

 
Merciless Glutton will be adjusted to be more effective when used by Heroes who can deal lethal damage with a Single Attack.

The Artifact will increase damage dealt by Single Attacks and defeating enemies with a Single Attack will increase Combat Readiness of all allies, allowing them to take their turns quicker.

Secret Art - Storm Sword

Has a 100% chance to grant increased Attack to the caster for 1 turn when an enemy uses a non-attack skill.

Can only be activated once per turn.

When an enemy uses a non-attack skill, Increases Combat Readiness of the caster by 24% and has a 100% chance to increase Attack for 1 turn.

Can only be activated once per turn.

 
Secret Art - Storm Sword will be adjusted to be more effective when used against enemy Heroes who use non-attack skills frequently.

When an enemy uses a non-attack skill, the Artifact will increase Combat Readiness of the caster as well as increase Attack of the caster.

 
These are the proposed balance adjustments and improvements that are scheduled for the update on 9/2. The opinions you have shared in each of our communities continues to be one of the best sources of inspiration. We hope that our Heirs will give us their valuable opinions about this balance adjustment and we will continue to try our best to improve the Heroes in our game so that each and every character can be utilized by our Heirs.

    "Buff luna" meme will continue even tho i feel like shes fair now.

    Positive a.ravi change, looks quite good and bad in the same time on paper, need to try it out

    Overall pretty good, didin't buff already strong heroes, some buffs might be too little, but hey better than nothing.

      Kawerik wasn't that great either. It may seem small, only 2 changes, but they're significant. Besides, Mediorik is still a fairly new unit.

      If im correct, (Take this info with a grain of salt)

      1. If the enemy has invincibility (Idk about skill nulifier and immortality) it will stun the enemy. 

      2. Bomb now ignores all effect resist when it lands and when it blows up (The stun from #1)

    Mort is gonna be very fun and good hero now with a lot of flashy move.
    I wish he could dispel enemy buff with skill 3 though. Slow team doesnt have much dispeller option(except Alencia) because most dispeller are more suitable for fast team.


    Luna might be better now but she did not get new mechanic like Choux and Mort, so she will remain boring.

    Apocalypse Ravi - scary

    Dominiel - (edit I misread by a lot) 35% chance to give free barrier for ANY attack on ANYONE that receive crit dmg with 1 TURN cooldown after full mola upgrade.
    So basically she has Elbris artifact barrier!?? wow
    she's meant to be pair with Roana with tanky counter build? because her skill 1 also has strong value (stun)
    Very interesting skill 2 rework, hope she's tanky enough to survive for many turns.

    If this Dominiel buff works, I hope we get more elbris-like effect more on other heroes.


    Thought Carmainerose would receive some buff because she appears in summer event but nope ; - ;

      Mort's S1 is marginally better thanks to the new soulburn effect.

      His S2 is much better and enables him to be way more active in battle.

      His S3 still ***** because it does not do enough damage.

    "Buff luna" meme will continue even tho i feel like shes fair now.

    Positive a.ravi change, looks quite good and bad in the same time on paper, need to try it out

    Overall pretty good, didin't buff already strong heroes, some buffs might be too little, but hey better than nothing.

      in case of Luna she is better single target dps now: her extra EE + buffed Yufine art makes her scary against squishy comps as she can: kill with s3 - get 10 souls for herself and push team 12% - sb S1 to kill another unit and push additionally 12%. On the other hand, I'm really worried if those buffs - guaranteed max hit and def pen - will result in her multis' nerf for the "not overbuffing" sake


      in ARavi's case - she become more offensive but I feel like her core problems were vulnerability to  get easily taken out by LQC and now Straze + the debuffs. I wonder if she gotten immunity to some debuffs and damage reduction effects would make her better but I'm in no way complaining. As compared to some older balance patches, her kit could've been much worse. So I'm on happy side with her upcoming changes

      Luna is better than before.

      There is no arguing that.

      But for a limited unit, she just isn't quite on the level yet.

      But hey, she can always be balanced again like Mercedes and Kawerik, so we should probably wait and see.

    I was waiting for Dominiel buffs for 2 years now because I really like her design and the idea of reflect damage. However this buff is not helping her at all. Making the reflect just by chance and not a skill is already making it worse and even if it does proc the reflected damage is still laughable it really doesn't do anything. Instead of changing her kit and making it more RNG based it would've been a lot better to just make the reflect buff stronger and maybe give her an extra turn or skill nullifier on top for her S2 so she can buff up and then use her S3 or be protected from one attack but still reflecting damage. With these buffs now she is still as unusable as ever replying on a 35% chance to put up a buff that is just way too weak to have an impact on the Match.

    This Dominiel Buff is not helping at all, she arguably got a bit worse because proccing her mediocre/underwhelming unique buff is now up to chance. Really feelsbad for my girl dominiel I like her so much :(

      ZiennI actually have not tested it with def buff for example just with aurius and SSB passive which do cut the reflected damage quite significantly. Also I checked up on one of the wikis and reflected damage is 30% of Damage done so assuming 3 Targets (like Guild War scenario) the reflected damage will be less than the average damage she will do to a single target. Dealing 10k to All of them would result in 9k reflected damage if there is no mitigation whatsoever. Additionally it's conditional in a sense that all your units have to survive in order to account for the reflection calculation.

      I agree it's very hard to Balance reflect because e.g. bumping it up to 50% would all of a sudden do 15k to the damage dealer but as it is right now it is too weak and impractical to use since it's not a whole lot of damage and it's so easy to mitigate.

      ThePeetsterI get what you're saying but reflect is most definietely reserved for bruiser teams. I thought about using Dominiel, eventually, for that with Etica. Her shield is to help absorb part of the dmg without decreasing it so the attacker is punished harsher. They're changing the multiplier from her Att to ally's hp and I suspect it's going to be 15%-20% . Maybe they'll buff her again within a year and give her EE.
