Epic Seven

General Discussion

Is extracting gear actually worth it? [10]

I am selling one lv85 blue gear for around 16k and to make an epic one,you need 8 of them(one extracted gives you 7 cores and you need 56)

So extracting 8 = 128k gold lost and the process of creating the epic gear also cost 100k gold so if it endup tr*sh(it often does),you endup with 228k gold lost(if you don't sell that epic gear which which you will not get much from)

Lv70 gears gives you only one core which I think it's wrong considering lower level gear also gves you 1 core

Imo yes it's worth it, big chunk of my good gear comes from steeple.

I extract spd/counter/LS/immunity/crit and sell the rest.

    If you need money, sell.

If you are in need of specific piece, extract.

Always extract the main sets that are of the highest value (ex: speed, immunity, counter) and sell pieces you do not use at all and never will. That way you get both crafting mats and gold to craft with.

I extract right gear and sell left gear

I'd say it's worth it, even with the RNG involved.

One big advantage, imo, is that gear crafted from the alchemist can be reforged using a currency (i forgot its name) that is obtained in a good amount. So if you have a good gear piece, you usually have spare mats to 90' it, which is nice if you feel it's worth it.

    Gold isn't issue anymore

I just craft every mat. enchant to find good gear and still have 70mil gold left , before this update I usually had like 1mil after craft .

Yes, it is very much worth it. I have been extracting equipment since its release.

Always extract what you can, never sell it.

As evident by the comments, it depends on your box, team comps you usually use, and the type of gear you need. Personally, I only extract blue speed / crit sets since I primarily only farm wyvern and tend to use cleave teams. Any other gear usually gets sold unless the bases are high.

I'm reaching a point where my gold hardly falls below 10mil, especially after half crafting gold which prior to this always cost a lot of the gold I earned from Hunt farming :/

If you really need those gold, I suppose selling less useful set is better, but for set like Speed, Crit, Destruction, Immunity, or anything you're currently building, I will say extract is still better thing.
