RTA annoyances (kind of my fault) [9]

So this is kind of my own fault because I didn't gain enough arena points to afford to loose over and over again and maintain my master rank. It's still annoying that I played rta this season only to be met in the last 3 days with a FLOOD of high rank players just stepping over me to get their skin. 


No hate, but as someone who was just barely holding on to a hard fought masters spot only to be trampled in the last 3 days by players who I have no chance against I'm kind of disappointed. I've tried to gain back but I keep getting pushed further down. 


I've accepted I won't be getting my reward for reaching masters this season. It's just kind of disheartening to have worked for it this season only to be thrown back to the bottom in the last 3 days by players who should be ranked higher and I shouldn't be fighting. 


(Went from a solid 50% win rate to 30% in the last 48 hours or so)

    me too, last 3-4 days rushed rta

    its become hard, finally reached challenger and its so troublesome

    so many loses...


    next time probably gonna try 1 win a day everyday

    Meanwhile you yourself already reach lv 70. Isn't you one of high level player? Huh?

    Yes and no, a properly designed system wouldn't create an environment like this. I find myself on the other side, don't care for RTA but I'll pop in a grab a skin.

    It would be easy to design a cumulative weekly score average and factor that into the final ranking.

    They could incentivize people to play RTA daily with a mission or energy reward.

    They could make RTA not essentially a coin toss therefore making it a fun mode to invest and master (not pay other people to farm for them, like their pro scene).

    Even those 3 half thought out ideas would make RTA a more fun area for most players and we wouldn't see this bevy of strong players rushing in just for a skin, we might be there just for... fun. (gasp)

    I am learning however creating positive environments of any kind is not Slimegates MO.

    Can fully sympathize with you.


    I myself just barely managed to make it to Master last night. This shouldn't be difficult for me - been playing since launch and I have a very diverse roster of 50+ maxed units with very decent gear (speed 230-250 on fast characters). That should be more than enough for Master. And yet, the last few days were a real pain.


    Yes - I don't mind admitting that I don't enjoy RTA and therefore my units aren't all optimized. I do it purely for the skin. But while climbing through Gold, I equally fought opponents which were way too easy as well as opponents that were out of my league. That is a clear indication that the whole system isn't balanced. 


    @Smilegate: If you're reading this - this needs to be fixed. Having to fight opponents that are way stronger than you is simply frustrating. Is that what the game should feel like? For example think about removing decay on Gold/Master so not everyone needs to rush to Master for the skin in the last few days.
