Best way to buff gears? [11]

Simpliest way to buff gears would be adding 2PIECE set (Effects would be halve) for every 4piece sets in the game!


I don't understand why this isnt a thing already.

It makes character building more easier and meta would be so unpredictable, but in a fun way.

Players will be grinding different hunts everytime, not just spamming one hunt for the rest of their life. (coz you know, speed set is everything). Imagine the combinations of sets people could make out of it!


Come on sg, breathe some fresh and chilling air to your game.

    they didn't just throw darts at a board to decide which sets were 2pc and which were 4. it's a matter of balance. literally everyone would run lifesteal/counter/spd if they were all 2pc sets. how is that "breathing fresh air into the game". You're just making it as stale as it could possibly be.


    there is a reason you put lifesteal on counter units like cerato or counter on units with lifesteal. right?

    Hmmm… a speedy degen counter Arby with lifesteal. Would literally break the game. Lol.

    I don't think this is a solution. In addition, people will still farm the same hunts. Units with 320-340+ Spd (6 parts of the speed set), etc. will just appear.

    if you hate speed set now imagine a 6 piece speed set that you suggest they implement

    Oh *** you guys are so negative. Obviously 4 piece set is still the maximum set piece you can run. Damn i should clearly spell it out next time.

    Speed set: 4 pieces = 25% speed

    Destruction set: 4 pieces = 45% Crit DMG

    Attack set: 4 pieces = 50% Attack

    HP set: 2 pieces = 25% HP

    Defense set: 2 pieces = 25% def

    Crit set: 2 pieces = 15% CC

    I get, and generally agree, with the sentiment that there should be some sets that are 2-piece instead of 4. However, I do think it has to be limited to certain sets to prevent highly broken combinations. 


    I disagree with some of the folks here; I do think breaking speed into a 2-piece set has merits, but that would obviously have to come with some adjustments to the set bonus. A 10, 20, 30 setup would make some sense, and even on the fastest unit in the game (Kayron) would only add about 6 speed over the current bonus - significant, but nothing amazing. 


    In all, I think a mix of approaches is warranted. Changing how some sets scale, changing others from 4-piece to 2-piece, perhaps even "harmonizing" some sets. Ex., cc and atk get bigger bonuses is paired, or destruction also gives cc if no cdmg main stat neck; quirky things like that.
