Some suggestions for Characters buffs (Part 4) [8]

So... after testing buffed Maid Chloe, I gotta said they've done a good job. But of course, there are still many characters waiting to be buff. You're welcome to comment on my suggestions. Also, I think Smilegate is actually taking notes from my previous posts. Weird..... Anyway, here are some suggestions:


Briar Witch Iseria: So... she definitely needs another balancing adjustment, since her whole shtick is just using S3 then die. She does not contribute anything more after that, so here are my suggestions:


Passive: Increases Hit Chance by 25%. A successful attack inflicts additional damage to the enemy. Additional damage increases proportional to the caster's Attack. Upon receiving lethal damage, grants Immortality to the caster for 1 turn. Immortality effect can only be activated once every 5 turns. Resetting cooldown of Cursed Thorn (S3) when the enemy is defeated.


S3: Attacks all enemies with a cursed thornbush, dispelling all buffs, with a 75% chance each to decrease Attack and make them unable to be buffed for 2 turns. When this skill is on cooldown, the caster will counterattack after being attacked.


Basically, she's a better version of Kayron now, well Counter Kayron that is. Imagine using her with Lifesteal Set tho. The reason why I didn't give her a reset cooldown after receives lethal damage like Kayron is simple, she will be too OP, and you know, way too similar to Kayron. Better give something new to these ML units don't you think? The change in her S3 makes her contribute more to the fight. Basically, S3 -> Counter -> Enemy dies -> S3 again.


Mediator Kawerik: Also known as Mediocre Kawerik. Sigh.... what's with the new trend of releasing average units and then buffing them later? Welp, at least the new Ilynav is pretty good I guess... Anyway here are my suggestions:


S2: Attacks the enemy with the mediator's power, dispels all buffs from the enemy and cast reflect and a barrier to all allies for 2 turns. Damage dealt increases proportional to the caster's max Health. Barrier strength increases proportional to the ally's max Health. 

Soul Burn (S2) (10 souls): Ignores Effect Resistance and extends the duration of buffs granted by this skill by 1 turn


S3: Restores balance that has been destroyed, dispelling all debuffs from all allies and granting increased Attack and immunity for 3 turns.

 

Mediator - a person who attempts to make people involved in a conflict come to an agreement; a go-between. How ironic that he's the one who causes the outrage. These changes will hopefully make him useable in some areas, like against Tsurin or Landy for example. I just also realized that there are only 2 units that have Reflect buff in their kits. What's up with that? 

There are many ways to absolve conflict, and redirect them to your enemy is definitely the best one. Heh...


Designer Lilibet: Yeah..... I'm one of the dum-dums who waste my Mystic pity to get her... No regrets tho. She's definitely served her intended purpose, but she could be better. So here are my suggestions:


Passive: When an enemy's turn ends, gains 5 Fighting Spirit for each debuff inflicted on an ally. Starts the first battle with 30 Fighting Spirit. When the caster's Fighting Spirit is full at the end of somebody's turn, consumes all Fighting Spirit to dispel all debuffs from the caster and increase the caster's Defense (Defense buff for 1 turn) and Combat Readiness by 40%.


S3: Dispelling all debuffs from all allies and granting them increased Defense for 2 turns before going on stage to attack all enemies, increasing their skill cooldown by 1 turn. Damage dealt increases proportional to the caster's Defense.  


Basically, she will have an atk buff after she cleansed herself (Since her damage are proportional to her defense), and will support her allies with a defense buff, a kinda pseudo-Arby counter if you ask me. Also, what's up with Decreases debuff durations of all allies for 2 turns in her S3? It's basically Dispelling all debuffs with extra steps. 


Ok. That's all I can think right now. I hope ML Charles won't be a disappointment lol...

    for Briseria

    I would revamp that S2 completely...I don't know what it should be though
    But I'm not sure that adding more lines to it will make it better :/


    also her S1 : if S3 is on cooldown, S1 attack all ennemies and don't trigger dual attack
    with a beautiful animation



    and for Merik : move that waste of Mola from his S3 so his S1 and S2 gain one more level

    Alright, let's see. Briseria first;


    A fast Briseria with enough eff and high ATK is actually very threatening already when going against buff heavy comps that protect a "safe" DPS (Tsurin, Landy, Stene for instance, so pretty much the meta right now). 


    But I do agree her S2 immortality feels lacking, since it's basically an extra safety net to make sure she'll at least cast her S3 once. I disagree with making her Kayron 2.0 though, that's just poor design (looking at you Landy and Flan...)


    Imo, Briseria could instead get a "second life" once she receives lethal damage: 1 turn immortality + full HP healing (so she needs buff block and unhealable to be ohko'ed now). Her S1 def break and true damage is more than enough to compliment her S3 on a fast build already, so just helping her stay alive longer would be plenty annoying as it is.

    Regarding Mediocre Kawerik though, oh boy.


    From SG's own profile description on him, Merik seems to have been designed as a "powerful damage-dealing assistant", so I'd rather they buffed him on that direction instead of the full support one (high RES + SPD + bulk) especially because his competition is fierce enough at that (DJ Basar, Maid, Kitty, Ray etc.).


    From testing him plenty at +11 skill level (yes fking waste of molas, but reasons...), imo he really needs his S3 to give him some self CR back or make it so there's some on CD effect. He's not fast at all, and as a side support/subDPS he can't simply waste a turn and call it a day. Also, since he's a single target DPS only, he could use some sort of mechanic to address stealth units, be it by himself or allowing his team to do so more easily. Regarding his S1, the CR gain is interesting but not affecting him at all is really bad design as well.


    Oh yeah, those S3 skill enhancements have gotta go, it's outrageous!

    Hmm ... to tell the truth, I think that a more or less good proposal was made regarding Lilibet. Nice improvement, making it somewhat stronger and "healthier".

     As for Bisseria and Maverick ... this is somewhat absurd.

     Biseria has an already not bad value. Her S3 alone is already very significant. It will almost always force the opponent to take the cleanser or choose her as the target of the ban. In addition, it is possible to play in different setups (Bruiser, Control) and several different builds: fast support, a variant with dmg, and even a counter-set build. So Biseria deserves a buff hardly more than, for example, Riolet, who currently has a huge number of counterunits, while he himself relies heavily on RNG.

     Considering that Maverick is a Warrior, it would be good for him to acquire a slightly more aggressive skillset.

     In general, A. Ravi and J. Kise would be much better candidates for the buff.

    They need to make huche playable... They make him playable I will send him into abyss by himself with no gear to pay for all the times he's setup his ripoff shop before big events.

    This might be kinda ridiculous but kinda fits biseria backstory, so maybe when the opponent that kills her dies, she gets revived with 50%hp with a skill nullifier that only triggers once per 9 turns?

    Notice they didn't use Iseria's soulburn animation on BW Iseria.


    I would change S2 to:

    When a single attack misses, activates an extra attack that will not miss and deals additional damage. (Reuse soulburn animation here)

    And the immortal thing etc.
