iPod Touch generation needed for Epic 7 [10]

I'm contemplating getting a used iPod touch to play my alt so I can ditch the emulator on my chitty computer. emulator is OK, but sometimes clicks don't register, or register multiple times. I'm running the game on my iPad mini, and iPhone XR, and they run fine. my question oh great and wise forum mates, is which is the lowest gen I can go on a iPod touch, and still play the game lag free.

prices range from $30-$40 for a 4th gen, to $100ish for 6th gen. latest gen is like $150-$180, which is a bit much for me, as it would be primarily just for epic 7.

For now PC + emulator still has the best performance without worries about battery or overheating.

And if you buy the lowest model it will outdate in the near future.

What emulator are you using? My computer is not the greatest either. I find that blue stacks hogs all my computer resources. I recently switched to LD player and it runs much smoother.

It's not my intent to be harsh about it, but modern games require modern equipment to run. The lower-end your device is, the harder time it is going to have running applications that are trying to push the bounds visual presentation. E7 has no loading screens, highly animated skill animations, particularly on S3, a lot of lighting effects on the various stages... there's a lot of stuff that is going on from a resource standpoint that makes it harder for lower-end devices to run the game. At the same time, it doesn't need top-end stuff to work either.

My laptop is ~4 or 5 years old. It's got an AMD Ryzen 5 2500u processor, 8 GB of RAM, a 120GB SSD. It's not remotely what one would consider a high-end gaming laptop and I got it new for ~$500. It runs perfectly on LD Player. I also play on my Galaxy Tab S5e which I also got for about $300 a couple years ago. The newer S6 Lite sells for $350.

My advice, save up some cash, aim for something like the S6 Lite. It's not hard to catch sales.
