Abyss 109 [4]

The gargoyle floor is one of the worst designed floors I have ever seen. There is literally no strategy to this floor. You cannot play around anything the mobs are doing. All you can do is try to rush the boss down and hope he doesn't keep proc'ing his ******** passive. If you could at least hit the add so that you can play around the dispel/counterattack that might be fine. But his passive procs even when you hit the add and the rapidly stacking atk/speed buff all but guarantees a wipe. Whatever group of individuals who designed this do not deserve their position. They should never be allowed anywhere near game development. Floors 101-110 in general are pure garbage where the majority of the time, you are always at the mercy of 15% debuff resist which is another idiotic mechanic that does not belong in the game but this just takes it to a whole new level. There is no consideration for player enjoyment in these designs, it is a slap in the face to anyone who attempts to have any semblance of strategy or thought to their play because the mechanics are completely unfair. Good game design is intuitive and rewards understanding of the mechanics but there is literally nothing the player can do to deal with these mechanics besides cross their fingers and hope for the best. 


15% debuff resist is bad enough in these floors where it is literally a dps race and having your abilities just fail to work for absolutely no reason even when you have enough effectiveness is one of the ********* mechanics in any game I have ever seen and this floor literally just adds another 20% on top of it that leads into a high damage counterattack + defense break + defense buff + buffing the bosses ult and it can proc multiple times  per turn and cannot be dispelled because the boss can just get the buffs back from the very same attack that dispelled them. It literally highlights the worst aspects of this game and is one of the stupidest thing I have ever seen.


The player has no control over anything that happens. There is no strategy. It is a disgusting joke that there is even a tournament being held for a game that has mechanics that definitively undermine your stats and your decisions. The developers have absolutely no regard for gameplay or for players being able to make meaningful decisions in the game. You may as well make abyss floors 111-120 into literally just a slot machine. That would be more enjoyable and less frustrating then this disgusting excuse for game design. Have some respect for the players for once.

    I think in general SG idea of hard content is to make some mechanics random or redundant. If i compare it to a "real" RPG like FF X where end game bosses have many tough mechanics but none of them being unfair, is imo what makes great Boss fights. Not winning by chance or RNG. I postponed Abyss for a while now (Abyss 103, the rat level) bc i find it extremely unfun to fight myself repeatedly through stage 1, which can take quite a lot of time, just because in stage 2 a random 15% just screwed my run. It's just not fun.


    So i absolutely get where you are coming from.

    im yet to try these 10 new floors since i havent read anything enjoyable about them and the rewards seem really lacking for what is supposed to be the hardest content in the game.

    basically hardest abyss floor for me

    this floor really hell psycopath nuts if u running dps comp

    may easier if u running schuri cr comp though

    Since when E7 is about strategy  I'm stuck on 102. I'm going to attempt it again when I finally have Kiris built which is the only way to pass this floor, and future ones I assume.


    Considering how terribly everything is designed in this game I was suprised when they announced more floors. Makes you wonder how bad 121-130 are going to be.
