Hello Heirs! 

This is Epic Seven.

 

We sincerely appreciate the interest and support of all of our Heirs who have continued their adventures with us in Epic Seven.

 

With this balance adjustment, we plan to implement changes to 7 Heroes, 2 Artifacts, and a constellation. These changes are scheduled to take effect with the update on 3/18. 

1. Balance Adjustment Targets

 

With this balance adjustment, certain Heroes and Artifacts that have been absent in the current meta will be adjusted along with a zodiac sign.

The target for these adjustments can be seen below.

1-1. Hero Balance Adjustments

Everlasting Oasis (Before)

Everlasting Oasis (After)

Heals all allies after using Desert Wind. Amount recovered increases proportional to the targets' max Health and the caster's Attack.

Bastet roars, dispelling all debuffs from all allies, before increasing their Combat Readiness by 30%.

With this balance adjustment, Desert Jewel Basar will be improved to be more sturdy, allowing him to survive until he can use Bastet Roar.   


  When Bastet Roar is available, Desert Jewel Basar will suffer less damage from a critical hit. There will also be improvements to Everlasting Oasis to provide increased healing, so this skill recovers his allies' Health in more cases, which will maintain his team's advantage.


   With these improvements, Desert Jewel Basar is expected to survive longer in battles, allowing him to have a greater influence in fights. 

1-1-2. Covenant / 5

 

Choux

Chop (Before)

Chop (After)

Attacks the enemy with a spear before increasing the caster's Combat Readiness by 20%. Damage dealt increases proportional to the caster's max Health.

Fwoooosh! (Before)

Fwoooosh! (After)

Attacks the enemy by wildly swinging a spear. Penetrates the enemy's Defense by 30%. When the caster's stacked Focus is 5, consumes all Focus, penetrating the enemy's Defense by an additional 20%  and resetting the cooldown of Fwoooosh!. Damage dealt increases proportional to the caster's max Health.

Attacks the enemy by wildly swinging a spear. Penetrates the enemy's Defense by 50%. When the caster's stacked Focus is 5, consumes all Focus, resetting the cooldown of Fwoooosh! and recovering Health proportional to damage dealt. Damage dealt increases proportional to the caster's max Health.

 

Improvements will be made to Choux so that she acquires Focus faster and can last longer in battles. 


   Fwoooosh! will be improved to penetrate the target's Defense by 50% and when her Focus has stacked to 5, it will recover her Health proportional to the damage she dealt. When Chop lands a critical hit on the target, it now will grant the caster extra Focus, enabling her to use the skill again in a short period of time.

Crimson Armin

Takedown (Before)

Takedown (After)

Attacks with a large shield, with a 75% chance to provoke for 1 turn. Damage dealt increases proportional to the caster's Defense.

Security State (Before)

Security State (After)

Decreases damage received by allies from a critical hit by 15%. When more than one damage reduction effect is granted, only the strongest effect is applied.

Improvements will be made to Crimson Armin so that she can exert more of an influence in battle, even after using Shield of Holy Spirit. 


  With this balance adjustment, the skill Takedown will have a higher chance to provoke an enemy, interrupting the enemy's battle plan. Security State will be adjusted to reduce damage received regardless of whether or not it was a critical hit, potentially protecting her allies better.

Troublemaker Crozet

Pledgeguard (Before)

Pledgeguard (After)

Attacks the enemy in an act of faith, with a 40% chance to stun for 1 turn. Damage dealt increases proportional to the caster's max Health.

Chivalry (Before)

Chivalry (After)

Receives 40% of damage suffered by the ally in the back row in their place. Only the highest damage distribution effect will be applied. Has a 35% chance to counterattack when the ally in the back row is attacked.

Troublemaker Crozet will be adjusted to be more of a variable in battle and potentially have more turns in battle compared to before.


   When Troublemaker Crozet's skill Pledgeguard is activated by a counterattack or a Dual Attack, this skill will now have a higher chance to stun the enemy. Also, Troublemaker Crozet will gain Combat Readiness when an ally in the back row is attacked, securing more turns compared to before.

Oath of Protection (AI)

1. Prioritizes the ally in the back row

2. Prioritizes debuffed allies except for the caster

3. Prioritizes the ally with the lowest Health except for the caster
4. Use on the caster

 

Additionally, the AI for Troublemaker Crozet's skill, Oath of Protection will be adjusted to fix the occasional issue where its effect did not prioritize allies in the back row. Now, it will also minimize the occasions where the Hero uses the skill on himself before protecting his allies.

Khawana

Casual Introduction (Before)

Casual Introduction (After)

Attacks all enemies with a flame guardian, before increasing Attack of all allies for 2 turns. When all allies are Fire elemental Heroes, grants all allies skill nullifier once.

Soulburn (20): Grants an extra turn.

Attacks the enemy with a flame guardian, stunning for 1 turn before dispelling two buffs. Increases damage dealt when all allies are Fire elemental Heroes.

Attacks the enemy with a flame guardian, dispelling two buffs before stunning for 1 turn. When all allies are Fire elemental Heroes, increases Combat Readiness of all allies by 20%. Damage dealt increases proportional to the caster's Speed.

Soulburn (10): Increases damage dealt.

 

 

Khawana will be adjusted along with her Soulburn effects to allow her to have more influence in battle.


    With this adjustment, Rough Welcome will first dispel an enemy's buffs and if all allies are Fire elemental Heroes, it will increase the Combat Readiness of all allies, allowing them to have more actions in battle.


   Her Soulburn effect will be transferred from Rough Welcome to Casual Introduction, and will grant an extra turn to the caster. Khawana will now be able to grant a buff to all allies with Casual Introduction and immediately take another turn thanks to her new Soulburn effect.

When using Attack Chain, if all allies are Earth elemental Heroes, increases Combat Readiness of the ally with the highest Attack by 30%.

Sun Rune (Before)

Has a 100% chance to increase Critical Hit Chance of the caster for 1 turn when the caster is at max Health at the start of the turn.

Has a 100% chance to increase Critical Hit Chance of the caster for 1 turn when the caster's Health is 70% or more at the start of the turn.

 

Helga’s skills will be improved along with difficult to use Runes so that she can exert a stronger influence in specific team combinations.

  
   The effect of her Speed Rune will be changed to greatly increase the Combat Readiness of the ally with the highest Attack, if all her allies are Earth elemental Heroes. This change will allow the damage dealer of her team to deliver more attacks.


   The Sun Rune will now have a lowered condition for activation, which will give Helga the chance to have a higher Critical Hit Chance. Additionally, Attack Chain's damage will be slightly increased.

1-2. Artifact Balance Adjustments

Black Hand of the Goddess

The caster's Critical Hit Chance increases by 24% at the start of battle. Effect decreases by 2.4% every time the caster attacks, down to 12%.

Black Hand of the Goddess is an Artifact that greatly increases the wearer's Critical Hit Chance.

With this improvement, the Artifact will now increase both the Critical Hit Chance as well as the Critical Hit Damage, with the expectation that it will make the wearer that much stronger.

Awakened Soul Weavers under the Sagittarius sign were granted Attack(%), however this increase was not a great advantage to the class. In order to resolve the issue, Soul Weavers will have their basic Attack adjusted in addition to the effect granted following each awakening.

 

These are the proposed balance adjustments and improvements that are scheduled for the update on 3/18. The opinions you have shared in each of our communities continue to be one of the best sources of inspiration. We hope that our Heirs will give us their valuable opinions about this balance adjustment and we will continue to try our best to improve the Heroes in our game so that each and every character can be utilized by our Heirs.

Buff for DJB and all Sagitarius SW? It's good.

But the other buffs weren't so good. Why does Choux deserve a buff more than Aramintha, Flan, ML Chloe, Sez, Mort?

As for the 4 * ML ... well, poor Leo.

The art buff is also good. It would be nice if DB (Ray art) got it.

Oh no, my first 5 star ml is DJ Bazaar. I just can't stop crying. Why this trash. He's completely useless, even after the buff. Give me back my ml summons, please 



Little Queen has DJBasar damage reduction (a party wide version of it, unlike him) since the beginning and she's not even a soul weaver. 

Just let that sink for a moment. 

What was the point of this "buff" exactly? Does it address any of his numerous problems? To be honest, I don't think so, not even close.

Please, fix Briar Witch Iseria first!! She needs a better adjustment for real.

That Helga 30% cr buff might ruin many banshee runs, i was gonna use her too but now kinda useless, might as well change it to whole team 10% cr boost or make it proc S1 (so attack chain name would make sence xd) or something else but plis revert that strange change

Good buffs, especially happy about Helga getting some love. Would like to see OG Mercedes get a buff or SC at some point too tho.

As others have said, while the heroes on this list do deserve their buffs due to low usage (e.g. Carmin), I think the focus should be on heroes who are at the center of attention and players actively want buffed. Such as Mort, MC, Sez, Coli, Luna, etc. 

Outside of the buff to the artifacts being bad, I think you should stop it with the "RGB exclusive" buffs and effects. Why would you want to purposefully limit your characters to PVE/1-gamemode? If you really really want to stick with something like that, due to balance reason or whatever, YDCB made a good suggestion to change these effects from "When all units are fire/ice/earth" to "apply effect x to (only) fire/ice/earth heroes in the team". So while it will keep in place the random rgb limitation you're adamant about, it will make it more flexible for PVP (mainly) as well. 


Still though, overall nice buffs. Thank you for the continued work!


I'm confused. Is not Crimson Armin getting nerfed?

They're changing her passive from 15% reduction from crit hit to any hit.

With the old passive you can equip her with Aurius, giving her team a 10% defense bonus(sure negligible for most glass cannons but..) and reducing crit hit damage by 15% as well take 20% of damage received by other members on the team.


Since it does say "When more than one damage reduction effect is granted, only the strongest effect is applied. "this won't stack with Aurius, so we're losing the 15% crit damage reduction for the whole team. How will this make more people want to use her? 


It's certainly nice to get the 100% provoke chance, but that's the only thing I can see being a buff to her.


Security State...I don't see how this will possibly increase the amount of people who use her.



Let me help you clear up that misunderstanding.


Aurius falls under the category of damage redirection/sharing while Adamant/C.Armin's current passive fall under the category of damage reduction.


With her new passive, it will still be under the same category "damage reduction", meaning it won't have any sort of confflict with Aurius. On the other hand, her new passive won't stack with Adamant artifact, nor with Proof of valor, since they are both on the same category of "damage reduction".


All in all, the whole team will take reduced damage (due to her passive) before she takes in 20% of that via Aurius.


It's definitely a buff, a solid one at it. She'll be a prime choice against all the true damage out there (Krau, LR Krau, Dorvus, BM Haste, Sage BS), while still doing what she currently does against crits as well.

88406963Ok, I was hoping it was something like that because it simply didn't make sense unless her passive was not the same as what Aurius does.

Disappointed with the DJB buff, cerise and friends is really cancerous right now, wish they would have buffed djb to deal with debuff heavy teams. But he’s going to be dead before he can do anything. 

So Khawana isn't gunna keep her soul burn damage......I made her for a g13 aufo one shot team like.....im honestly beyond ticked off that I'm not gunna get the resources back and I need to find another farmer I'm probably not gunna like. Like come on SG people just don't know how to use her. MAID NEEDS A BUFF FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. Just give her more heals that or make a new passive.
