[Revisiting E7] Some of these changes to the game ... [10]

Overall since I've played ... alot of good changes, but if there is ANYTHING that I think needs a fix ... oh boi,


Before I moved on to other games, maybe one of the last characters I wanted to acquire for RTA reasons was ML Zerato, this unit escaped me like no other and I had around 8.5k mystics saved up before I left.


Now seeing how banner units have pity, hell artifacts have pity now >>> as well as 5 star units on rotation, I figured it couldn't be too bad trying to get a 4 star unit right? So I figured hmm this might make me want to play again ....


within 8.5k mystics ..... I pulled


- Alencia

- 3 Stella Harp Artifacts


And to rub salt on the wound 


- ML Ceci which well I have maxed out already


 


I truly enjoyed my time with this game. The changes I've seen are definitely better for newer players ..... hell the new tower was one of the most amazing things I returned to for this game.


Unfortunately .... this whole system with 4 stars in mystic summons is still ... a HUGE turn off.  I personally may come back on and mess around in the new tower every now and then, but seeing how I blew maybe the equivalent of half a $1000 worth of mystics saved up to pull not 1, but 2 units on the banner that has less chance than the featured 4 star .... can't say I'm amped to return at all.  Not even in the token shop either. 


I heard the light variant of Angelica is coming out, probably a 4 star.  Sounds like fun.

    RNG is RNG my man. you just got to live with it.

    Unfortunately in any game where there are three tiers of units this is bound to happen. 4*s are not "elite" enough to have a banner all to themselves, but they're more "special" than a 3* so they have a lower drop rate. Since they're never on rate-up they never get the spotlight. FGO avoids this (somewhat) due to having far fewer units released in a year, therefore they actually do have rate-ups on their 4*s (though they also don't have pity, so...). Azur Lane has SR and SSRs on rate up at the same time, but what often ends up happening is that you'll pull the SSR before you do the SR (and again, no pity). Not into Genshin, but my understanding is that you also have the same thing as FGO there; fewer units, so "lesser" units end up on rate up themselves. 


    Adding yet another pity level seems really burdensome, so I don't know there's an answer outside of patience. If it's any consolation, I only just got SRose last week, and still haven't gotten BBK, after 2+ yrs of playing.

    Not gonna lie to you chief, you’re a ******* ***** for spending 8.5k mystics on a banner that already has a unit that is maxed on your account.


    Rng is annoying, and I’d love to have all the 4* mls since I’m missing bromann and Carmin, but they aren’t as special as 5* units and you shouldn’t expect a pity for them. Hell I’ve played games that don’t even have a 5* pity, and that seriously kills me.


    You say this should be a change but compared to other things I’d want for E7 this is on the lowest tier of wishes for E7 changes.

    Hmm, see..


    I also play FGO and more importantly DBZ Dokkan (JP), which has some of the worst rates ever for a LR (Legendary Rare) unit.  Yet even dokkan has some form of pity for everything eventually.  


    Before I left the game for quite sometime I hit Legend in arena and got very close to Legend in RTA in the past seasons. Even if ML Zerato got banned I could literally build drafts around the idea that he'd get banned to increase my chances of winning and make the opponent play my hand. I learned to deal with debuffers overtime, but that unit still stands as one of the best to deal with them, especially with Cerise and water Tene everywhere now.


    - I definitely know to live with RNG, still makes you sour here and there

    - also things like FGO/Dokkan/etc. are more PvE oriented 

    - not gonna lie ghost559, but when you rarely play a game, have almost every character you want except a 4 star on higher rates that you wanted forever, dupes give you tokens ... why not go for it? I'd def play more.

    This isn’t a problem with a gacha game like this. RNG is RNG period no matter the percentage. Just like a casino, you take the gamble then its on you and the game isn’t going to give you a guarantee just because you made a poor choice of spending so much money on something that is clearly not a guarantee. You can’t say there is a problem with the game because you don’t get your way. If you have so much money to spend on a non pity chance, then its not a big deal.   If you don’t make a lot of money and you wasted it on this game then you really shouldn’t being playing for the sake of your gambling addiction.

    Note the mystics were "saved" before I left the game:  The equivalent of what they'd be if money was spent was half $1000, so I feel bad if someone actually spent that much to get nothing. >>> also:


    1. There are multiple forms of pity now (even artifacts which is huge), if there weren't I'd be less incline to make a post like this.

    2. You definitely can say there is an issue with any game when IN THE one you're playing are already solutions to your problem. 

      - Despite what happened, I figure eventually there will be some form of pity for 4-star ML units


    Gambling addiction though? There is a difference between actually losing massive amounts of real money rather than something you got free ..... and then with what was free, still gained things that through shown rates were significantly harder to obtain, not once, but twice. 


    I don't need anything else dude, it's ez just to go all in. At the end of the day with this situation, I gave a logical statement and will walk away for now.

    Double posting as this will be my last response in this thread.


    I want to clarify I don't dislike this game.  There are more things available now than when I started playing.. As a returning player I am honestly overwhelmed. Despite that, these changes are great for newer players.  


    See, I'm one of the E7 players who endgame was RTA.  Although, as fun as RTA can be unfortunately no matter how geared your characters become, progression can be stunted because of the lack of a unit. 


    Logically speaking my statement in the op is, "If a ML 5-star can have more than one form of pity at this point, why not at least one for an ML 4-star?" After seeing all the changes at this point >>> especially with how my pulls went >>> it got me thinking..


    Fortunately, no money loss on my end, just using what I already had so well .. it is what it is. If things eventually change, cool.

    Why did you pull on a Mystic Banner that you already have a maxed out hero from ???

    I mean at that point you have no one else to blaim but yourself. Especially when a new powerful counter meta hero is coming right after. Dude...

    I’m not quite sure why everyone is so surprised and against RNG. I mean isn’t all of life like that? We should be used to this idea by now. I mean look around! Everything is random and unpredictable, that’s what makes life exciting and diverse! If we all knew what would happen with 100% certainty, it would take the fun out of life. Think about it :)
