How Do You Decide? [11]

To all players, how do you decide on which characters you chose to build?

Do you decide based on what characters you need / what is good?

Or

Do you decide based on what characters you like, regardless of how good they are?

I'll build based on whats good for hunts, and what I like using for pvp. But also change it up, depending on buffs. Like I'm really looking forward to the Landy buff. But also fire Maya looks like a bit of fun.

you can build the heroes, but don't have to invest to many mola. Just incase you're not too happy with performance.

    1st priority:

     - hunt team.

     - standard meta unit (Basar, dizzy etc)

after that I build whatever waifu I like as long as the kit is not very weak.

I tend to build a team for hunts and improve on that. Then whatever unit that I feel like building, but before I can even build a team or improved team for hunts or a unit that I want, I have to bow my head and and pray to the equipment gods that the rolls are good.

When I first started playing it was always units for PVE. Units for Wyvern and Hell Raid primarily. Fortunately, you can usually get to Gold/Master in arena pretty easily with a Wyvern team if you take the time to reset and pick fights you can win. Expeditions came out when I already had a large unit pool so I was able to use most of what I had to at least auto Level 1 or manual Level 2. Level 3 I'm just leaving alone because it doesn't feel like its worth the effort.

Nowadays, I mainly build units that I like AND are decent in PVP. Main issue is always gear though so its slow going and I have a backlog of 6* units waiting for gear.

    Tough question here

I choose only characters that I like...and if they're good then it's all for me n_n

    Earth Bellona

    Fire Ken

    ML Lots

    Kayron

    Yuna

    Ray

    I also like 4* and 3* heroes

    why do  you ask ?

you are not sure if you want to pull Flan ? :3

At first I collected and built heroes that will help me advance in pvp (but especially those that can be good both in pvp and pvp, in my opinion these are the most valuable heroes, such as SSB, Lilias, Kluri, Momo and etc.). Hunting (auto + stability + speed), Raid, Abyss. Further, those that will help to consistently and successfully advance in PvP (primarily Arena (as a source of skystones) and GW (mysticism and others)). Now this is mainly an improvement in the gear of existing units and sometimes new ones, with a focus on the RTA.

I will add that this approach gave me the opportunity to acquire any heroes that I like, because I hardly ever need a BM now. So I recommend getting some patience. And following this principle, in the end you can get what you want being completely f2p.

Being endgame player I focus on what I like and is not a waste of resources( like Destina or Pavel). As long as it's decent enough. I just rushed PH's SC quest, built her and am waiting for buffs. She's going to be useful enough after Balance Patch.

i would say 20% option 1 and 80% option 2, do i need her? yeah, do i like her more than aramintha? no, aramintha it is

If it's an ML 5*, I build it right away, putting all resources regardless of how bad they may be. After my Wyvern team, I only go for characters that may start a new meta or counter to that. For example I didn't even touch Landy and Cerise, two limited units, until they announced their buffs.

Problem is gear. Having right gear is always the limiting factor.
