Can we get more account security? [14]

There was another recent case where an account got hacked and deleted:

I wanted to adress the stupid account deletion feature (again). Smilegate only added this because they are required by some EU laws but they implemented it poorly.

They should change two things:

1. When account is requested to be deleted it should be temporary stored somewhere else before it is permanently deleted one or two days later.

2. When someone wants to delete an account they should be required to type in a secret password set before or type in an e-mail confirmation code.

These features should be common sense to be implemented in a game. Hope this gets more attention to actually fix this and get the guys account back.

"1. When account is requested to be deleted it should be temporary stored somewhere else before it is permanently deleted one or two days later. "

    This is AGAINST THE LAW.

It HAS to be deleted immediately.

The existence of a player page after deletion is basically a tombstone.

So the full explanation of what will happen + having to type what exactly will happen to your account + it being written again on the bottom of where you type it in... is not enough? o.o

Having "a secret password set before or type in an e-mail confirmation code" will not help them at all if they're already ignoring what they just finished reading and just blindly typing it in anyways since it's not as simple as press 1 button and instant deletion...

    ------

Just wanted to say that your post comes off like you're talking about the delete acc function rather than more acc security being needed. Acc security will always be needed but people that want to hack will usually find a way.  But if they made logins a lot a slower or require a lot more steps just to log in, then you'd be trading in easy of access for more security. Most people prefer easier access than having to do a 2FA+codes+extra steps. People will always wana be lazy.

Before an account is deleated, there is an explanation in a bright red box indicating what would happen if an individual continues with the deletion process. Failing to read or understand the information presented solely rests on the the individual.

An individual that wants their account deleted must have their account deleated immediately, and not stored in some temporary void to retract their mistake. If a individual fails to read the information presented during the deletion process, then a secret password or e-mail confirmation code would do nothing to benefit the individual.

i suggest using a secret password to further access the account after logging in rather then just deleting the account because if your account got hacked, deleting it makes no difference then the hacker being able to go into your account.
