1. Hunt 12, 13 and Equipment Reforging
1) Hunt 12 and 13
As we announced in our prior developer notes, Hunt 12 and Hunt 13 will be added to Epic Seven. In Hunt 12, the bosses will have
the same gimmicks are their counterparts in Hunt 11, however, their Combat Points will be increased.
In Hunt 13, our Heirs will be able to meet Bosses who are even stronger than their predecessors. These changes come in the form
of new gimmicks as well as a new appearance. Although the basic battle scheme will remain the same, Hunt 13 was designed so
that the characteristics that make each battle special are magnified, and elemental differences better noted. We hope various
elemental Heroes will be able to participate in Hunt 13.
2) Equipment Reforging
In addition to the implementation of Hunt 12 and Hunt 13, an Equipment Reforging feature will be added, which will allow our Heirs
to upgrade level 85 equipment that has been acquired from other content, such as Hunt or via Equipment Crafting. Because level 90
Equipment has yet to be made available in Epic Seven, we will provide more detailed information about Equipment Reforging below.
[UI/UX Addition in Steel Workshop upon entry]
Equipment Reforging will be conducted in the Steel Workshop. In addition to this new content will be the NPC Artena, who can be
seen in the Steel Workshop. Artena will explain to our Heirs all of the information necessary in order to utilize Equipment Reforging
when they first enter the Steel Workshop.
Equipment Reforging is content where players can make level 85 equipment acquired from various places in Epic Seven stronger.
In order to use the Equipment Reforging option, players will need level 85 Equipment (excluding unique equipment obtained from
content such as the Abyss) and Reforging materials that can be acquired from Hunts. Reforging materials, which can be obtained in
Hunts 11 and above, will be used to Reforge Equipment for a specific Hunt. For example, Ancient Dragon’s Heart which can be
acquired from Wyvern 11 and above, will be required to reforge level 85 equipment acquired from Wyvern Hunts. The higher level
Hunt stage that is completed, the greater chance you have to obtain this material.
Equipment acquired from Equipment Conversion can also be reforged. In order to reforge equipment acquired via Equipment
Conversion, players will need the item, Manifestation Stone, which can be acquired from all Hunts 11 and above. We will give our
Heirs more specifics about the materials required via our update notice.
Equipment Reforging will require a certain amount of gold along with Reforging materials. The amount of gold required can be
decreased by using the “Improve Building” function and selecting “Extend Workshop”.
Within the Equipment Reforging window, our Heirs will be able to see the stat increase for the selected equipment. Equipment,
upon being reforged, will have its Main Stat improved as well as the sub stats, following the increase in Equipment level. These
changes can be seen prior to reforging.
We hope that our Heirs will challenge the new Hunt levels. We also hope that our players, with their new equipment, will show their
bravery as they play the diverse content in Epic Seven.
2. World Arena Regular Season
World Arena – Regular Season, which our Heirs have long been waiting for, is finally here.
The first regular season, [Showdown Season], will add more functions and rules to the World Arena.
After the World Arena Update, many of our Heirs voiced their opinion, saying that they want to play PvP content with their Friends
and Guild members. PvP content which allows you to battle the opponent of your choosing will be another source of fun, in
addition to World Arena Battles which will affect your rank. With that, we will update the Mock Battle function, where our Heirs can
challenge friends, guild members, and other Heirs in the Chat Window to a 1:1 battle.
Since Mock Battles are unrelated to Victory Points and have no effect on Rankings, our Heirs can try many unique and innovative
strategies. We hope we can help our Heirs create more innovative strategies using Mock Battles. We’ll also be adding more
functions to Mock Battles so that our Heirs can have even more fun.
2) New Rule: Pre-Ban
Prior to selecting Heroes to use in battle, each Heir will be able to select a Hero (3-star Heroes and above) to ban when matched
against an opponent. This pre-banned Hero will not be available for selection for the designated battle. If both Heirs select the same
Hero, then that one pre-banned Hero won’t be available for the designated battle. We hope our Heirs can develop more strategies
and use more Heroes upon the application of our pre-ban system.
3) New Rule: Placement
A [Placement System] will be added starting from this regular season.
Once Placement has been completed, Grade and Victory Points will be displayed, and our Heirs will be matched against Heirs of a
4) New Rule: Victory Points Deduction and Season Rewards
Upon the end of a regular season in the World Arena, which will be held for approximately 12 weeks, players that have achieved a
certain Grade will be provided rewards, including special Skins. Therefore, we will be implementing Victory Points Deduction, which
will subtract Victory Points for players placed in Master Grade or higher if they do not play World Arena for a certain amount of
time. The following are the list of Rewards that can be acquired from World Arena regular season.
Grade upon end of the Season
Background Pack for the Season
Special Season Frame
Specter Tenebria Skin
Champion Grade Frame
Challenger Grade Frame
Conquest Points according to the Grades
The rewards for the end of the World Arena Season will be Skins for a selected Hero and Frames. All Heirs who have participated in
at least one battle in a season will be granted a Background Pack, and Frames will be distributed according to the Grade in which
our Heir has finished the season. Heirs who finish the season at Legend Grade, the highest Grade obtainable, will be given the most
special Frame. Heirs who finish the season at Champion or Challenger grade will be given a Frame that corresponds with that grade.
Those who finish the season at Master Grade or below will be given a basic frame.
The Special Reward for the World Arena, which our Heirs may be the most curious about, is Hero Skins. For the Showdown Season,
a skin for Specter Tenebria will be given. Details of this skin will be provided before the end of the Season. The skin for Specter
Tenebria will be provided to those Heirs finished the Showdown Season with a Master Grade or higher, and those players who
finished the season from Bronze to Gold will be given Conquest Points according to their final standing.
The special Skin for Specter Tenebria may also be added to Skin Shop after a certain number of seasons are held. We hope our
Heirs will have fun participating in the first World Arena regular season, the Showdown Season.
3. UI/UX Improvements for Hero Management and Hero Stories
Within the “Details” Menu, a Hero Stories tab will be added, where our Heirs can review stories related to the selected Hero. Within
the Hero Story tab, Side Stories for the selected Hero will be available, regardless of whether the Hero had a major role or
supporting role in the story.
Each story will be unlocked upon the acquisition of all Heroes within that story. These stories, once they are unlocked, will be
available to view at all times. The stories acquired will also be available from the Hero Stories menu within the Story Journal.
The first Hero Stories to be added are those featuring Krau, Haste, Cermia, Luna, Kise, Tamarinne and Bellona. Other past Side
Stories will gradually be added. We hope our Heirs will enjoy the side stories to be added later.
And with that, these are the contents to be added with the update in April.
4. Future Updates
A new Specialty Change Hero, Adventurer Ras as well as Nixied’s Sanctum Area 4 and 5 is scheduled to be updated after the 4/16
In order to Specialty Change Ras, the Hero all of our Heirs already have, it will be necessary for our Heirs to complete Episode 2:
Godkiller, as well as complete the usual Specialty Change requirements. Along with this information regarding Adventurer Ras, all
Hero information shared on our Pre-registration page will be available in the future via Hero Preview Video Clips.
Currently, we are finalizing Area 4 - Icicle Cave, which occurs after Area 3 – Mountain Valley. Area 4 – Icicle Cave will be more
complex and wider than Area 3 – Mountain Valley. We hope our Heirs will have fun finding shortcuts, Golden Chests and
fighting Boss Monsters unexpectedly. We also hope our Heirs look forward to Area 5 - Frostproof Valley, which is planned to be
updated after Area 4 is updated.
These are what we have prepared for our April Update Advance Notice. Reflecting on the timeline of Epic Seven, our Heirs have
always taken the most important role in the progress and changes we’ve made so far. We hope we can keep making wonderful
memories with our Heirs. We thank all our Heirs for your love and support for Epic Seven, we will return with more content to share
with you all.
