Arena too depending on speed. [16]

One of the reason why most end game players left. No stratigy, all the new char coming out is desperately try to counter speed meta. You go first, your enemy better have insane amount of Def + HP or its almost certain a win. Its the same as just playing arena ....... with delay. As your opponent pretend that they are thinking on what skill to use for 20 sec when they have only one healer left against your team if you out speed them.

Some didn't even bother to wait, the moment your group get speed up they surrender. Is that how SG design the pvp to be?

BESTYou have a point. Speed dominates the game.

A player can go from Bronze to Challenger+ in no time by having 245 speed.

It's like farming speed items is the end-game content.

BESTSo you're saying being able to go first *shouldn't be* the most desirable and powerful advantage in almost any pvp situation in any game or even in real-life competition?

Because it is and always will be. So deal with it.

BESTThe problem imo because of the current stat system. Usually in an rpg u have to sacrifice something to when make a build. If you focus on speed usually ur char is as weak as wet paper. The current stat system make it possible to build a char to be as fast as possible while maintaining the other stat reliably high if you had luck.

Sometimes I think other sets just need to be buffed. Eq is also so heavily luck dependent that I often see other people have characters on speed sets with much higher attack than my characters on attack sets. So why bother with attack sets if you can have op attack with speed sets?

Going first in a battle almost always gives you an advantage.  This is the case for so many games.  You ever play Pokemon?  Same thing.  Faster Pokemon with certain characteristics are almost always better than slower Pokemon with the same characteristics.  Speed is the most important factor.

I think they need to implement

    1. Dodge Chance (% to dodge an attack)

    2. Block Chance (% to block an attack) and block defend (dmg u take after u block an attack)

SPD is main stat in this game but the most important stat is RNG stat :P

Even you go first, your team can destroy or interrupt by resist, counter or miss.  Only 1 miss can change win to lose.

So some defense team have low speed but use RNG to win because most speed team are hard to prepare counter attack if they failed their first strike.  They are easy to lose.  And if you make speed+dmg as defense team, you still lose against tanky counter/revive team.  And these are how Champion - Legend PVP now.

As it is right now, speed is the easiest build to do without much hassle.

But IMO, it's more of the game mechanics that is lacking.

Put simply, i'd rather loose immediately, move on and hope to RNG that i find an opponent slower than me.

Since trading blows for longer than 3 turns is a hassle and time consuming, with no merit.

I suggest that they add what ever merit system they could think of, for how many turns the team comp is able to survive for both the winner and losser, and add it on top of the initial reward, to encourage durable team comps.

the broken part of speed is most heroes can make good use of it

while low base atk heroes can't be built to have high atk, include def and hp

while speed, average heroes base speed is 105-115, the different isn't a big deal and yet most speed stats is came by sub flat speed which isn't affected by base speed

even though u managed to build a hero with low base atk with high atk, it doesn't mean they will always be able to make good use of it

the bottom line is, atk, def, and hp is situational depend on the hero, while speed is work on most of heroes

Pvp is terrible for many reasons

-too much rng determing fights(R&L double proc, Elbris proccing, Vivian's 15% innate ER resisting ALL effects from skills like F Kluri's/Iseria's s3)

-speed race that allows using 40 lvl units in high rank pvp and killing strategic decision-making

-units like A Vild that can wipe entire cleave team.

It's not fun. Which is ironic considering that SG decided to throw pve under the bus for the sake of pvp.

I think I wouldn't mind speedy characters, the issue is someone like A.Lots who can bring someone from 0% CR to 100% CR. Imagine if CR was not a factor with these speedy heroes, then it would be fine.

    SPEED = win

    A Vildred = win

It's already 90% difficult to find decent gear (basically by luck)

Every person in the high ranks of arena has A. Vildred. Not salty, just sayin. It would be awesome to have an even playing field and arena should be based on how well you know your heroes and their skills.
