Acquire 2 Soul | Acquire 3 Soul |
Desert Jewel Basar will be improved so that he can perform even better against Heroes who use Barriers. Desert Storm, which was previously an active skill, will be changed to the passive skill Desert Cycle. After an enemy uses a skill, if they are granted a Barrier, the caster uses Desert Storm to convert the Barrier and decrease their Combat Readiness, disrupting the enemy’s flow, while also increasing the caster’s Combat Readiness to secure their own turn.
With this change to a passive structure, the Damage Reduction effect from Bastet Roar will be moved to Desert Cycle. This allows the caster to receive the Damage Reduction effect at all times, regardless of whether the skill is on Cooldown, improving the caster’s ability to respond more reliably.

| Damage Dealt Decreased Amount Recovered Increased |
Urban Shadow Choux is a Hero who accumulates Injury and uses it to deal powerful damage. However, she needed time to sufficiently accumulate and utilize Injury, which limited her performance in the early stages of battle. With this improvement, we will adjust her overall battle tempo so she can accumulate and utilize Injury more quickly.
First, the Damage of Bzzt! triggered by Wild Charge will be increased, and she will now gain 1 Focus at the start of battle. This will allow her to enhance Operation: Cream Pastry more quickly and make use of accumulated Injury.
Operation: Cream Pastry will be changed to penetrate the target’s Defense by 50%, and its Damage will be partially adjusted accordingly. This will allow her to deal damage more effectively even against enemies with high Defense. In addition, the amount recovered proportional to the caster’s Max Health will be increased, strengthening her combat sustain as well.
Lastly, the Soulburn effect of Zippity Zap! will be changed so that, while its existing Damage is slightly decreased, additional damage proportional to the Injury inflicted on the target will be added, allowing it to deal even more powerful damage when Injury has been sufficiently accumulated. Through these changes, we expect Urban Shadow Choux to actively accumulate Injury from the early stages of battle and make use of it in various ways.

| Damage Dealt Decreased |
Abyssal Yufine is a Hero who can deal damage even to enemies with high Defense through Rampage while in the Traumatized state, but there were cases where she fell somewhat short when finishing off enemies with high Defense. With this improvement, Rampage will be changed to fully penetrate the target’s Defense, and its base Damage and Soulburn Damage will be partially adjusted accordingly. This will strengthen her ability to secure kills against enemies with high Defense.

Monarch of the Sword Iseria is a Hero who excels based on Counterattacks, but there were cases where she had difficulty fully utilizing her strengths when Counterattack, her main means of attack, missed. With this improvement, we will enhance the stability of the caster’s Counterattacks so the caster can fulfill their role in a wider variety of situations.
Increase Hit Chance will be added to Elbris's Successor, improving the stability of the caster’s Counterattack, the caster’s main means of attack, and allowing the caster to better demonstrate their strengths in more varied battle situations.

Kawerik is a Hero who pressures enemies with high Speed, but there were cases where he fell somewhat short in consistently demonstrating his strengths due to a lack of ways to protect himself. With this improvement, the Fighting Spirit and Mana Field mechanics will be added to Kawerik to supplement his survivability and strengthen his ability to continue battles more actively. In addition, the effect that increases each skill’s damage in proportion to Speed will be removed, and their base damage will be increased instead, reducing his reliance on Speed.
First, Spatial Relocation will be changed to increase the caster’s Combat Readiness instead of inflicting Silence. In the Mana Field state, it will also consume Fighting Spirit to trigger the same additional attack on a random enemy, allowing the caster to quickly continue taking action while consistently pressuring enemies.
Dimensional Corridor will be changed to increase the target’s skill Cooldown to the maximum, strengthening its ability to keep the enemy in check. In addition, it will grant an extra turn upon landing a critical hit, allowing the caster to maintain the flow of battle.
Lastly, Dimensional Explosion will grant max Fighting Spirit at the start of the first battle. During battle, if the caster has 10 or more Fighting Spirit, Mana Field will be granted when attacked, consuming Fighting Spirit to nullify damage caused by skills. It will also grant Increase Speed to the caster for 2 turns and penetrate the target’s Defense by 50%, strengthening his ability to secure survivability while maintaining an aggressive flow.

Exclusive Equipment eligible for Settings changes is limited to Exclusive Equipment whose Settings have changed from before the update, and Exclusive Equipment obtained after the update will not be included. Exclusive Equipment with changed Settings will retain its existing stats, and once the Settings of Exclusive Equipment have been changed, they cannot be changed again.

This will allow the caster to fulfill an offensive role against a wider variety of opponents and continue maintaining momentum after defeating an enemy.
Increase Hit Chance will be added to Limiter Release, expanding the usability of Precise Attack.
Rune effects will also be reworked from primarily supporting Hit Chance to strengthening direct offensive capabilities. Effects that increase Damage and Attack will be added, and defeating an enemy with Precise Attack will have a certain chance to decrease skill Cooldown, strengthening the caster’s ability to continuously pressure enemies with powerful firepower.

When attacking with a Single Attack, increases damage dealt by 8-16%. |
Sphere of Sadism had some limitations in usability, as its Damage only increased while the caster was granted a Barrier. With this improvement, it will be changed so that Damage increases when the caster uses a Single Attack, regardless of whether the caster has a Barrier. The amount of the Damage increase will be slightly adjusted accordingly.

| Additional Damage Amount Increased |
Spear of a New Dawn will be improved by increasing its additional damage.
The additional damage triggered after using a basic skill will be increased, strengthening the caster’s ability to consistently deal high damage.

back ground fram in special change it not count?
im gonna be honest if people didnt abuse the meta with full broken unit comps this wouldnt be happening, frida buff is well deserved, those who use lisette, notos, lots, barunka teams or similar that is feels like you need 2 ingeneering deg to build a team against them, ill say deserved, dont even try the ayufine buff atp you can keep it and still wont make a diiference, god damn you all hate iseria that much, two dark canon endings and want to spit on her again with this terrible buff.
ps. where is the guy that said on yt comments of the anniversary vid "we are so back!" btw?
If you think you need "2 ingeneering deg" to play this stupid game, you should revalue what are you doing.
Buff ML Ken.
why the last minute nerf on kawerik s2? you guys are removing his speed scaling but not increasing the base dmg
I like DJB, ML Choux and Kawerik buffs, but why nerf Sphere of Sadism? Like who are you even using it on if not Yulha anyway? Also ML Yufine could be so much better, you're still on time to make some fixes.
Sick and tired of cleave slop.
SG, please cancel the Frida buff. This is going to worsen an already bad turn 2 game and represents the problem you have created by refusing to nerf.
RTA is no longer fun and uses mostly ML5 and limited units. Confused as to why units like Frida and MoTS Iseria were buffed when characters like Astromancer Elena are much worse in the game.
The power creep is already bad enough but Frida giving everyone a free soulburn + ignore damage share kills the only ways for turn 2 to counter cleave.
Lol
Fun fact: RTA is an optional mode, the base of E7 is Arena
Stop this buff please. You are going to kill the game officially. Given the entire team free soul burns and completely circumventing 2 of the very few anti cleave units we have is unhealthy. Allowing this buff to go through and the game firmly cements as play a "play the animation" game. Cleve players simply press play (with zero brain cells) and get to win games. Zero thought. Just lucky gear and money spent. This Frida buff is insanely unfair.
LotS has destroyed this entire game and its DAU, and the devs know that, Frida is saving this game from dying.
Plus she wasn't given Extinction Aura or anti Immortailty. She still can't deal with LotS's front row G.Ras.
This patch is not going through. If it does, SG is smoking smth and that's facts. Frida is unbalanced meanwhile AYufine got legit nothing to fix her problems. What in the frick is this patch update SG... >_<
gang you are bronze you don't even go here.
Tsucchiekagebuddy if you are calling me a bronze player, you wouldn't even understand overpowered or weak units, don't even bother insulting because you telling me I'm bronze would make you a dirt player if you think this patch is not overpowered for Frida. >_>
Also, why go straight into insulting someone's rank? Who made you upset? Like my guy this is just a patch to a game, launching insults at someone is just childish.
Long time player, high spender here. You mentioned recently that you would be taking a closer look at hero balance, and I appreciated those sentiments. However, this Frida buff feels unconsidered and particularly unhealthy for the game. It takes away so much strategy when forming a team. You can still make her more powerful by not giving her ignore damage sharing, so the drafter has to pick a slightly narrower range of heroes with her.
I love this game because of the strategy elements, not because of brute force methods. I implore you to revert this buff in particular before you lose any more interest.
Frida's buff is a horrible idea turn 2 instantly can just quit the game
The player trying to catch Frida will have to ban ML Diene, spending 1 ban which is a lot. Then, on turn 2, they will always ban Frida, immediately destroying the enemy's strategy while the player on turn 2 is free to use their own. It's that simple. It's easier for the enemy to quit than for the player on turn 2 to do so.
KlininBro I think you are missing the point. The entire T2 play style has been in a very difficult position for a while now. from Lisette making it so u have to kill them 4 times, RnL making it so her counter dies to 1 S2, Salome can copy something to 1 shot us anyw, Notos basically an auto win against T2 without evade and even Hecate basically throwing Lady out of the equation. what we are left is basically ER to prevent all debuffs from going though and giving Frida entering the field "80 souls" and ignore damage share we are just putting T2 in a worst positon than it already is in and all that simplified into "just pick ML Diene" isnt good enough. Not to mention u r asking for people to own an ML5 in hopes to counter a limited hero
What nonsense, this fuss over Frida. If you want to use her, you'll have to ban ML Diene. If you don't want to deal with Frida, ban her; either way, it'll cost you a ban, it's that simple. And eventually they'll release characters that punish harder than Diene Soul Burn, then Frida without the buff will be complete garbage, people are getting desperate for nothing.
Good luck with all the defense losses because it's all gonna be Frida making you lose those sweet points and GW losses. XD
Some of these changes are interesting and I am looking forward to using these units more often now. My two concerns:
1) The changes to Iseria, Yufine, Elena, Choux and Armin make the units fulfill their existing functions better, which is good, but I was hoping they would increase the number of applicable use cases instead. I am specifically underwhelmed by Iseria and Yufine. I suspect Basar's (and also Kawerik, Axe, and Glenn) change will meet both demands of fulfilling their existing whole better while also increasing the number of use cases. Since Iseria, Yufine, and Basar do not have exclusive equipment yet this might be resolved, but I would still like both Iseria and Yufine to have some more impact or reliability.
2) I think Frida's change only makes sense if players have more options to punish soul burns. The only available unit is Dark Diene. Every other workaround is indirect or preemptive. Maybe some of the CZN characters or another Specialty Change character is necessary.
Fridas buff is literally a turn 2 killer, holy damn man
This is the best buff for frida and what epic seven is doing this will make 2 turns players to cry and complain to remove that buff, please dont remove that buff she will destroy all those confort players in that zone and make them play with other builds and spend time in other builds. The game is boring seeing this same thing right currently. She will change epic seven players. This remind me harseti and now this time frida. Keep her buff, if you remove it, that will make you see very weak and not visionaries.
t2 is dead, frida is poking them with a dead stick. Spd is a commodity for the rich and lucky aka not the majority of the games player base. have fun when ppl quit
Bother, there's a difference between a balanced buff and completely over tuning a character and if you think this is a good change then you're either incredibly biased or just simply retarded. .
This character essentially offers 4 tagehel books before any other artifact (so she herself can use her own artifact for more souls... bring more souls etc..) and a team wide limited artifact as a 3 turn buff.
It might hurt turn 2 the hardest but it's not a vacuum situation as it literally affects everyone in a much negative light. So much so that even the top players such as Higa are questioning why this is even a proposal. It affects all styles, one of which is standard which is the most common way people play the game while also having no real counter. She was put as a niche to counteract belian and ML Aria which is potent in itself to bypass their whole gimmick.
What would come next? more aggressive variants of belian/ml diene/ml aria? would introduce far worse stuff if it goes through.
i started to think that this frida buff is intended so next unit rely on unique buffs/unique debuff . it will be the norm, lets start with dark gayron having stupid unique buffs enabling another cleaver comp
Devs/Balance Team clearly dont know what "BALANCE" means, its been proven by LotS: causing dmg sharing issue thus ignore dmg sharing mechanic is everywhere, Notos: forcing players to go turn 1, RnL: broken turn 1 unit, plus now frida giving free souls and ignore dmg sharing for all? Yeah no wonder cleave is super strong, all released units favors turn 1 players / forcing players to go turn 1. Turn 2 comps are dead af.
I got to be honest Balance Team needs to be replaced.
Kind of dissapointed in Abyssal yufine, she could have increase her counterattack chance and might also have damage reduction when not in trauma mode. the increase pen is good, but she has lack of survival to active that trauma :<

I ask you guys to please do more for Abyssal Yufine and Monarch of the Sword Iseria. These buffs are minimal compared to what Frida got, when cleave is ALREADY overbearing. Turn 2 CANNOT compete in this current landscape and you took 2 units for turn 2, and basically did nothing. It is getting to the point of feeling like you guys are just spitting in the face of that side of the playerbase.
which ER player offended SG i swear to god why keep killing ER player for fun? giving unit free 100 eff then reduce ER frenzy you guys have permanent head damage . how is T2 player anti cleave now? christy dead belian dead aria dead YAY whole team get to ** for fun
