Is the "New Era" only for New Blood? [1]
I am writing this as a player who has dedicated seven years to Epic Seven. I have consistently spent money to collect every unit, and support the growth of this game. However, the recent "New Era" updates have made one thing painfully clear: Smilegate treats its veterans like garbage.
1. The Disrespect Toward Veteran Investment
It is fundamentally unfair. While I understand the need to attract new players, giving away ML5s and fully geared Limited Heroes (including artifacts) for free is a direct insult to those of us who spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars to acquire them. I am fine with newcomers getting a head start, but what do veterans get in return for their years of loyalty? You can't even get duplicate heroes. and those coin is not enough to buy the whole store so what am i getting in this event is a single piece 20 speed gear ??? New player is getting 10 ML5s and fully geared limited heroes ?!? What was the point of me spending money on Moonlight and Limited summons all these years if the value of those investments is being reset to zero while I receive no meaningful compensation? or you can have the better way to gave those limited hero to them like they can rent the hero until their account is achieve LV XXX. or they can play and finish mission to get it . at least not free to them,.
besides You are giving new players top-tier, "perfect" gear sets—including a 291-speed Rinak right out of the gate. I have played this game for seven years, and my own Rinak is only at 295 speed. Do you realize how ridiculous that is?
2. Systematic Nerf of Player Resources
You are consistently stripping away rewards from your most loyal player base. The Automaton Tower: Changing the reset from a consistent monthly schedule to a random 6 or 9-week cycle is a blatant nerf to our steady resource income. Resource Drought: From the removal of pervious event to the lack of meaningful rewards in new events, it is becoming impossible to sustain an endgame account without feeling constantly squeezed.
The Monthly Pack Scam: You changed the Monthly Pack to a 28-day cycle instead of a full month, yet the contents remain exactly the same. This is a blatant "shrinkflation" tactic—forcing us to pay more frequently for the same rewards.
The Shadow Company Crisis: The currency for the Shadow Shop is already stretched thin. Now, you’ve removed rewards that used to be weekly and forced us to buy them from the shop instead? You are creating a resource deficit and forcing us to choose between essential progression items.
All you do in the past year is cutting the resources and ppl to pay . if you want us to pay, make the game fun and worth it.
3. Forced PvP Focus Without the Quality of Competitors
It is obvious you want players to focus entirely on PvP, but the execution is abysmal compared to industry benchmarks like Summoners War. You are trying to force a competitive environment without the necessary gameplay depth, balance, or unit synergy. In Summoners War, the meta allows for creative compositions and strategic variety. In Epic Seven, the balance is a disaster—you simply release broken units to power-creep the last ones. You want us to play it like a tactical eSport, but you have failed to provide the tactical complexity or the balanced ecosystem required to make it enjoyable. If you want to focus on PVP , why dont you do the balance more often and buff the old unit and create a competitive environment?
4. Stagnant Content and Longer Update Cycles
The update seems to mean longer wait times for less content. We are seeing no new story progression and no innovative game modes. Even the new story is coming in the New Era Part 2. We are stuck in a loop of dry updates where the only "new" thing is a giveaway for fresh accounts while the actual gameplay remains stagnant.
5.The Complete Obsolescence of the Crafting System
You guys have added the new hunt difficulties, you have effectively destroyed the game's core progression. New players can now obtain high-tier gear directly from drops that are consistently superior to anything we can produce through the legacy crafting system. The most insulting part is that I cannot even use my hard-earned materials to craft this new tier of equipment. >I am currently sitting on a stockpile of 300,000 crafting materials that I spent years accumulating through thousands of hours of grinding and resource management. What is the point of this inventory now? You have rendered years of veteran effort completely worthless by locking the new gear behind a separate system and making the "old" crafting materials obsolete. You are rewarding "fresh blood" with instant power while systematically punishing the long-term preparation and loyalty of your veteran player base.
Does "New Blood" mean "No Veterans"? Is that your goal? You are handing out everything we spent seven years of time and money to earn on a silver platter to brand-new players, while offering zero incentive for your core supporters to stay.
I want to continue supporting this game, but I cannot justify spending another cent on a developer that treats my 7-year legacy as an afterthought. We are not just "old accounts"—we are the reason this game survived this long. Start treating us like it.

Exactly. That's a direct insult to the veterans. Even Tristen Wulf is siding with Smilegate. We spent a lot of time and money to get those units. There was no such event for us. What took us months or years to get, the new players are getting it for free. And nothing for us veterans who supported the game with loyalty.
