Automaton Tower suggestion

The Automaton Tower is one of my favorite PVE contents in the game - mainly because of the device minigame.  

It is a shame that we only get to play it once every time it appears in the seasonal queue 😑 

My suggestion to the devs is to let us reset the tower and replay it even after we have already cleared it.  

  

Since getting the same rewards again would be unreasonable, I would like to suggest the following instead:

  •  once the tower has been cleared normally, the "Replay" option will appear to allow the player to start a new run.

 An argument could be made that most people would not play the tower a second or third time if there is nothing to gain from it, so: 

  •  introduce a random set of rewards for clearing a tower level a second time. This could be scaled to tower level and take other factors into account.
  •  keep the energy cost, but adjust it to the value of the reward pool - paying 10 energy for some gold or stigma is reasonable but paying 30-40 is not.
  •  suggested reward pool: gold, stigma, charms, skystones or crafting materials
  •  key milestone fights should give slightly better rewards

  

I would also recommend to spice up the device selection and device build consitency with some additional options:

  •  "ban device" - lets you select a device from the 3 suggestions and ban it, so it is removed from the device selector options for the entire tower run 
  •  "reroll devices" - lets you reroll the devices displaying 3 different ones  

We could start with 1 reroll and 1 ban and get additional charges at certain levels, for example +1 reroll at levels 10, 20 and one additional ban device charge at level 15. This would help with the device customization, especially if we are aiming for a specific device build. 


Finally, for the additional runs I have some fun suggestions:

  •  "Modifiers"  - these would be opt-in selectors which would introduce various preset or random restrictions or rules that apply to the tower run. For every enabled modifier the chance of getting more rewards when clearing a level increases. Some examples: banning certain classes, or introducing a rule that prevents counterattacks, or the opposite everything counters (unless prevented), or bleeds ignore resistence, or resistance is much higher... etc. This is a good place to go bonkers and try fun things.
  •  "Challange level" - when clearing a level the next level could randomly upgrade to a challenge room level. The chance for this to happen should be low. Challenge rooms would be harder than normal tower levels and would be selected from a random set of pre-defined challange compositions (the boss mob there could even thave the shining aura some mobs have in the labyrinth for distint flavor). Since the challange room is harder to beat the reward would be better (mola, mystic, medal... etc). If the player is defeated in a challenge room they loose the energy spent to enter it and the option to face it again will disappear and the player has to face the original room for that level.
