When a skill description lists that it's damage is boosted by a stat that stat is better to raise than attack, however attack will still add some to your result.
Sorting gear can be tough early on just trying to have gear sets that support what it's for is a good goal..so if it's for a speed set try to make sure speed is in its stats...destruction gear needs crit hit and chance...hp gear should have hp%..Def ...
