🌟 Welcome to the New Era — These are my tips for New & Returning Heirs! 🌟
Whether you're picking up Epic Seven for the first time or dusting off an old account, the New Era update is honestly one of the best moments to jump back in. The game has changed a lot, and some of the old pain points that frustrated players have been genuinely addressed.
Here is a list of things I recommend:
For New Players: 🆕
Use the Wishlist immediately: The Covenant Summon Wishlist lets you select seven 5★ Heroes and seven 5★ Artifacts, and any 5★ you pull from Covenant Summons will be guaranteed to come from your list. This is huge — don't pull a single Covenant Summon without setting this up first. Research the current meta and fill those slots with units that cover Hunt farming (Wyvern, Banshee), PvE damage dealers, and one solid cleave or bruiser for PvP.
Focus on one Hunt first: Wyvern 13 remains the core PvE progression gate. Your goal early on is building a reliable auto-farm team with a strong cleanser, a CR pusher and a Wyvern DPS unit like Sigret. Don't spread your gear across too many heroes early — depth beats breadth until you can auto W13.
For Returning Players: 🔙
Gear farming changed: Epic Modification Gems guarantee a maximum stat roll and are not locked to a specific gear set, this is one of the biggest quality-of-life improvements in years. If you are a returning player who remember grinding for weeks to get a max-rolled speed boot you can now target that with Modification Gems. Prioritize getting these.
Two new gear sets to consider: The Warfare Set and Pursuit Set were added. For PvP especially, the Warfare Set has been shaking up team compositions — look into builds around it if you're returning to RTA or Arena.
Otherworld Breach is your new endgame gear source: Otherworldly Epic Equipment drops with only core stats but is given high enhancement values when enhanced. Clearing Hard/Hell difficulty also yields Manifestation Stones and Shards of Agony (reforging materials). Build your team based on guides or ask around in the community and improve your equipment to be up to date with the meta.

And last one of my best personal tips for both returning and new players:
Don't enhance gear past +9 until it's worth it: Enhancement costs spike after +12. Evaluate whether a piece has the right main stat and at least two useful substats before committing gold and materials past that threshold.
Good luck out there, Heirs. The New Era is a genuinely exciting time to be playing — welcome back, and welcome to those just starting.
