[Update] 5/8 (Thu) Update Content (Added on 5/8) [301]



 We would like to inform you about the previously announced balance adjustments for the 5 Hero Fenris and his Exclusive Equipment, “Mistilteinn,” as previewed in the 5/8 Update Content notice.

 

After carefully reviewing the valuable feedback and opinions shared by our Heirs following the 5/7 (Wed) update notice, and through internal discussion, we have decided not to include the aforementioned adjustments in this update.

 

We plan to revisit Fenris in future balance adjustments, with a focus on enhancing his utility from a broader and more refined perspective.

As for Harsetti, we will continue to carefully assess your feedback and develop a comprehensive approach, including balance adjustments that align with the strategic gameplay Epic Seven strives to deliver.

 

We sincerely apologize for the confusion and disappointment caused to our Heirs,

and we will try our best to provide the best service possible and continue to listen carefully to your thoughtful feedback and support.

Let's take a look at what we have in store for you in this week's update.

Players will be able to view these updates after the maintenance on 5/8 (Thu).

 

 

1. Hero Balance Adjustments



Balance adjustments will be made to certain Heroes, facilitating better strategies involving them. 

* The probability, number of turns, and cooldowns are based on fully enhanced characters. 
* Other skills will not be changed unless stated.
* The World Arena Replays recorded before the update will no longer be playable after the maintenance on 5/8 (Thu).

After granting increased Attack to the caster for 3 turns, attacks the enemy with an arrow of resolution. When the enemy's max Health is greater than the caster's max Health, damage dealt increases proportional to the difference, up to a maximum of 70%.

After granting increased Attack to the caster for 3 turns, attacks the enemy with an arrow of resolution, and increases Combat Readiness of the ally in the back row by 50%. When the enemy's max Health is greater than the caster's max Health, damage dealt increases proportionally, up to 70%.

Attacks the enemy with a bamboo sword, inflicting injuries. The severity of injuries increases proportional to damage dealt. Injuries decrease max Health of the target by up to 10% every time this skill is used.
 
When the caster is granted vigor, a successful attack will inflict additional damage equivalent to 50% of injuries inflicted on the target.

 

Soulburn (10): Attacks all enemies. This attack does not trigger a Dual Attack.

2. Two New Exclusive Equipment



New Exclusive Equipment for 5 Fenris and 4 New Kid Adin will be added to the Hall of Trials Exchange.

Players can obtain Exclusive Equipment from the Hall of Trials Exchange using Wisdom's Gaze.

Exclusive Equipment stats and skill effects will be applied randomly upon purchase.

3. New Event Artifact

A 5 Artifact, "Frantic Flight" will be added in the game.

Players can obtain this Artifact from the Event Exchange, "Radiant Hope".



 
 

 

4. Kayron & Shepherd of the Hollow Drop Rate Up


In this Drop Rate Up event, meet a Fire Elemental Thief, Kayron, who greatly improves the caster's survivability with his immortality effect and can deal a large amount of damage with powerful Single and AoE attacks. Players can also obtain a Thief exclusive Artifact, Shepherd of the Hollow, which can increase the caster's Evasion and greatly increase the damage the caster deals, and as Health decreases, damage dealt increases.

- An issue where certain UI elements were displayed abnormally will be fixed.
 - An issue where pre-revamp Catalysts appeared in certain Heroes' Side Story List Exchange will be fixed.

- The Summon Probability popup will be updated to display the featured Artifact with drop rate up at the top.   

- An issue where "Phantom Inferno Khawazu" in the Automaton Tower would detonate burn effects under certain conditions when using "Jealous Strike" will be fixed.
- An issue where the Labyrinth Compass appeared in the Guild Shop on the Japan server will be fixed.
- An issue where deployed Heroes could not be deselected while setting up a Guild War Offense Team will be fixed.
- Certain tooltips will be adjusted.

This is disgusting, making an EE on an unpopular failed unit just to counter one of the most aggregious units released is just an admission of failure, failure as game designers and failure at balancing the game. You already made a unit just to counter Harsetti, Young Senya, and if you wanted to balance her you just had to stop the RNG turn order bullcrap. This is just shameless and dirty and I hope it's a delayed April's Fools joke.

That abomination of a unit better be in the next balance patch list and have her S2 reworked, because if this Fenris EE is the "solution to alleviate the burden of Harsetti on the players" that SG mentioned in the infographic, then it will be pathetic.
Releasing an EE with an effect that specifically counters 1 unit is completely outlandish and a clear display of game balance failure. What happens for people who don't have Fenris? People who don't like Fenris? People who don't want to pull/use Fenris?

"Oh we fcked up massively by creating an abomination. Here, use this unit to be able to play the game again." No thanks, this is a terrible approach.
The "creating a problem, selling the solution" design philosophy is getting old really fast, and the game has been turning into a pile of *** for years now thanks to that.
Instead of NOT releasing broken garbage in the first place, the next best thing you could do is nerfing the broken garbage you release. But nah, better ruin the game I guess.

I think there's should be a condition on Harsetti's passive skill that if she's the fastest Hero than the enemy that's only time her passive skill will activate but if not she'll just get buff like immunity or invisibility for 1 turn, something like this.                        

With the current enemy def with unit (Harsetti, ML Ilynav, FCC, and ML Arunka), i dont know how to play your game anymore, we can't cleave, we can't bomb/burn, we got no speed cause of Harsetti, we can only hit ML Arunka and we hit them one time all enemy bruiser one counter bonk us 1 hit and die.... How do u expect us to play??? like... wtf? Just nerf some BS Bruiser/Tank

Don't worry, even without Harsetti those 3 others together are a f**** pain in the ass in defenses. You better have ML Luna + ML Roana combo. And the funny part is that even new Fenris couldn't be very useful against that team 😂

Dont listen to these idiots SG, bring back fenrises EE, its much better than nerfing the hero in the ground, release more heroes to counter harsetti and nobody will use her in 5 months, just like A Ravi. Later, when we have more counters just rework his s2 EE into something else.

Hot take: Just nerf Harsetti.. sure people will always complain when there’s a nerf, but it’ll be better for the game long-term. The fact that you feel the need to give Fenris an EE that’s targeted against Harsetti BY NAME is good indication that she needs to be toned down.

However, I’m not just here to complain, I have a simple idea to make Harsetti easier to deal with. Just get rid of the whole “on the caster’s turn, all combat readiness effects are not applied” line in her passive. That would allow us to cut-in reliably without having to rely as much on spd rng.

Also, if ur feeling extra generous, you could change her into a warrior to prevent her from holding Abyssal Crown. Tho, I personally feel like that would be a step too far. Alternatively, you could nerf Abyssal Crown so it doesn’t activate on counters, dual attacks, or extra attacks. It’s kind of minor, but at least for Harsetti, she wouldn‘t be able to proc it from her extra attack on s1.

Obsessing over a character that already has plenty of counters and counterplay isn't going to fix anything.

how the fk is nerfing a hero better than making an unused hero useable vs overpowered hero? People were calling for nerfs for a ravi, where the fk is a ravi today? Now imagine if they nerfed her. You ppl need to **** and stop asking for nerfs, you got your wish with hwa, look where it got her, absolutely useless, on par with fenris.

as a fenris enjoyer who built him before I even knew EE and buff was planned, can I get those changes with EE2 being unavailable to obtain for now anyways? Some for fun suggestions if you want to replace it but just wishes.

1)Dispell Buffs before S3, maybe if ATK is greater than the targets ignore eff res or add ATK to Effectiveness at some rate so I don't need to build it

2)The original S3 push to backline buff that didn't get implemented either

3)an Extra Turn on kill

4)Overkill Damage is transferred to the next highest HP unit as fixed

5)Speed Cannot be limited and immune to decreased speed (kinda the same thing but doesn't need to address Harsetti specifically)

6)S1 triggers dual attacks with Greater ATK buff

Is this a joke? Fenris ee revoked just because some people had a problem that it addresses this abomination by name.. Well then i got you the solution, just keep it as it is and change the part that reads "Harsetti" to "dark element units" and done. Nothing we haven't seen in the past, take LQC (Little Queen Charlotte) s3 for example.

And make a RGB godlilke against half ML ? Lol, never work in a balancing team please.

2nd : I hate Harsetti, I never even tried to pull her lol so go give ridiculous lessons somewhere else 

This would hurt my harsetti OS team however I think it would be better overall, during her turn no combat readiness increase or decrease leaving blooming lidica strat out but helping maintain the random turn order harsetti used to apply

People wouldn't take kindly the bait and switch SG tried to pull on everyone by selling packs and then invalidating the character as the packs go away.

I’ve been playing this game for a long time—since 2019.


The moment I realized how ridiculous Harsetti’s skills are was when I saw it allowed RNG to control turn order.


You tried to design it to make the game fun, but it hasn’t been fun—especially after the release of Barunka. Toxic defense teams are everywhere. I don’t even want to join Arena anymore because of it. It’s just not enjoyable.


And now, you’ve added EE to a forgotten unit just to counter the mess you created. Do you really think, “Ah, this will make the game more balanced”?

It's not just about Harsetti messing up the turn order — the RNG-based speed system itself is a bad design.


And you organize a tournament based on this? Do you think this is fair for players? They pick a turn-one unit to guarantee going first, but after that, the RNG system messes them up and they lose the game. Does the winner really worthy?

you should remove that mechanism if you want to organize a decent tournament.

Every ******* time the same shit, stop cry and put speed bots in the heros. 

I would rather have another character with limited stats to counter Harsetti or sell the solution if the community shows again that they don't want solutions for broken characters.

So again, cause people that never played more than 50 RTA games in more than 2 years made them cancel an update that would insanly change how guild war, arena and RTA works. I N S A N E. But hey, now they will release a ML5 or limited character to stop harsetti and people will be happy, right? Instead of having an RGB unit that EVERYONE can get, people pref to stay in harsetti meta (she lives banned but ok) than having finnally some change. This is so ******* sad, first the Pirate flan cancel, and now this. People that never reached champion should never have the right to talk or say anything about the meta in the game. SG, ur letting silvers that play 20 minutes per day the game control ur game, this is becoming sad as freaking hell. Gj guys, enjoy ur harsetti.

This was a mess up too big for 5 lousy leafs

Good, now hope you guys realize the actual solution to harsetti is to change or adjust her instead of these ham fisted "sell a solution" game design.
