Epic Seven Origin Update Key Highlights and Changes! [1]
Hello, Heirs! This is GM Dominiel!
Epic Seven got a brand-new look with the Origin update!
Today, we've prepared a walkthrough with GM Dominiel to help you get familiar with the new Orbis and all the changes it brings.
Let's jump right in and take a look!
■ Main Lobby
Our first stop is the newly updated Lobby!
The update brought significant changes, including merging previously scattered menus into a single Quick Menu.
Number | Button Feature |
1 | Event |
2 | Lobby Settings |
3 | Move to Lobby |
4 | Settings |
Frequently used features can be added to Quick Menu Favorite in Settings for faster access.
Menus added to Quick Menu Favorite will appear at the bottom of the Lobby screen.
The new Lobby and UI may still feel a bit unfamiliar and inconvenient, but we'll keep working to deliver a smoother and more enjoyable experience through continuous improvements!
■ Sanctuary
Next, let's take a look at the Sanctuary, where the Heart of Orbis, is located.
With the Origin update, the High Command has been removed, and the Steel Workshop has been turned into separate content, resulting in a cleaner, more streamlined Sanctuary layout now accessible through a right-side menu.
Gather growth ingredients for heroes in the Forest of Souls, craft Equipment Charms and Modification Gems in the Alchemist's Steeple, and choose your monthly rewards from the Heart of Orbis!
Don't miss your daily visit to the Sanctuary, now more mystical than ever!
To receive Heart of Orbis rewards, you need to purify the Sanctuary using Tainted Relics given weekly and on the 1st of each month.
Once you've received your chosen reward, no additional Tainted Relics will be given. However, you'll instead obtain Heart of Orbis EXP equal to the number of unused Tainted Relics. So be sure to keep that in mind!
* E.g. If you confirm your reward selection in Week 3 of April, the 200 Tainted Relics scheduled for distribution on the following Monday in Week 4 will instead be automatically converted into Heart of Orbis EXP.
ㄴ You'll be able to receive Tainted Relics again starting from Week 1 of May.
■ Adventure
In the past, Adventure was designed for Heirs to manually explore various areas of the map.
All the detours and diverse stage layouts sometimes made it tricky to stay immersed in the adventure.
After the update, Adventure has been renamed to Episode, and the screen layout has also seen significant changes.
With stages now organized in a list-style format, Episodes feature various illustrations for each stage. Enjoy the story and don't miss out on the artwork along the way!
Additionally, some buttons have been relocated and now appear at the bottom of the screen.
You can check what each button does by referring to the table below!
Number | Button Feature |
1 | Catalyst Exchange |
2 | Select Episode |
3 | View World Map |
4 | Go to current Episode in progress |
■ Catalysts
Previously, there were as many as 36 types of Catalysts, often leaving players short on the ones they needed and overloaded with those they didn't.
With the Origin update, the number of Catalyst types has been streamlined from 36 to just 12, making hero growth much more convenient!
Catalysts can be obtained directly through Episodes, battle content, and Reputation Rewards, or purchased from the Catalyst Exchange using Catalyst Points earned from Episodes.
That wraps up the walkthrough of the Origin update with GM Dominiel! What are your thoughts?
We're preparing more exciting updates and events to ensure Heirs have an even more enjoyable time playing Epic Seven.
In addition, we're doing our best to provide a better experience by listening closely to the valuable feedback you share through various channels.
We'll keep doing our best to bring joy to every Heir's journey.
