How to get good pieces of gear

Check your gear at every +3 enhance and when the gear is first crafted.

When checking your gear, things you want to steer clear of are:

• Flat substats
• Low roll % substats
  
• Weird substats

Enhance checking example:

You just got this piece of gear, now what could this be used for?

This piece of gear is great for DPS characters like Vildred or Eligos as they're hungry for stats that boost their damage.

Since it's a good piece of gear lets enhance it so see what it rolls into. 

Ooh, unlucky. It low-rolled a health substat (4% is the lowest roll for Health).

But, since Epic Gear pieces come with 4 substats pre-installed, unlike Rare and Heroic gear piees, we can give it 1 extra chance to give a good roll.

Enhancing this piece of gear gave us two mid-roll additions to our substats.

As a late game player, I would probably extract or sell this piece as I have the resources to get more. This is different for you newer players as gear is more scarce, meaning you might want to keep this piece.

A good piece of gear would look like this, consistently rolling high into attack with only 1 roll into a different substat.

Things to take note of:

Blue Gear:

DO NOT USE

This type of gear only has two substats, meaning it has to create an additional substat at enhancing at enhancement levels +9 and +12. It makes it very hard to get high rolls into your substats. 

Substat Enhancement Roll Ranges:

Level 72-85 Gear Pieces

Level 88+ Gear Pieces

Flat Attack & Defense:

Treat these as low rolls in your gear.

Most characters benefit more from % substats than flat substats.
