I will preface by saying that i love this game. I am free to play, yet i have spent so much time fine tuning that i have reached places unimaginable in other games. For context, I have gotten two accounts legend flag arena (even top 30) for 9 seasons nonstop, both at a modest champion rta level usually with 60-75%wr across all rta seasons, a proud guild leader of a top 100 casual guild and i love theorycrafting trap defenses and safe offenses for both arena and gw. I would be mostly known as the guy that made the gpepe and clueless djb emotes, and less known for a lot of other emotes, stickers and fanart.

Today there is something that in over 5 years of nonstop logins of this game happened. As per the pictures show, gw matchmaking has grossly broken, granted it wasnt always crisp, but now we are paired as a top 28 guild with a top 500+ with 16 inactive members. It is not a preseason matching issue since this is the actual rank and not previous season rank (while we are at it, why does preseason reset everyone, its no fun for top level players thst get no mystics and its no fun for newbies that get stomped hard and also get nothing). This error is beyond pathetic and needs fixing.

They let flag arena go over a span of 12 weeks with a broken point system that not only makes 85 empty spots in legend, but also makes the new rank completely inaccesible and pointless, since the objective was to get a few extra ss, but now you have to spend many times what you earn to reach a rank with no other reward. Honestly at this point just go back to the old system or even the previous season one. This is so easily fixed by replacing one line of code with the old one, this isnt even about spending money or resources, this is straight up abandoning the game itself. You can replace it with the original point system or even the previous season that was incredibly broken, yet is still leagues better than what we have now. I see no announcement on the news as the new arena season comes about a change in point system. This mistake is an error of basic math, which was apparent on the second week. Even the matchmaking is broken beyond compare, i get to fight people in challenger as the top 20 arena player and i have never seen anyone in the legend rank pop up. With the old system this never happened. Why.

A lot of people are unhappy abour the rta ban protection, while im on the middle road (i dont care about it, i see equal pros and cons) i see why it is a big deal. However, i think that the survey made by the content creators was biased and, if its important enough, there should be an in game survey which would also safely pinpoint each persons rta level and amount of matches and link it to their opinion, instead of a content creator making a video about the survey showing each option they chose, while pausing and looking at the camera for their community to follow suit. Point still remains that sg is not doing a single thing about the topic. Once again, please dont argue with me on this point, i geniunely dont care if ban protection is there or not, i just want it to be adressed in a proper way seeing so many people care about it. I have seen arguments for both sides and an ingame survey would clearly show what the people want and finally stop the infighting of the community.

And now we have the gw issue. This post is a call to action, for them to get it together and fix the game. Im not asking for insane coding content (which btw would be nice since we didnt get mcuh for new years), i just want a regular playing experience. Everything in this post shouldnt take over and hour of time for one person to fix or make. I have never seen the game so abandoned as these last 5 months, it is a truly sorry sight to see.

There are of course an insane number of issues like powercreeping, ml5s being all must haves, no real content, not finishing ml sidestories, time consuming events like ysenya sidestory that is also recycling stories, and more, but im trying to adress the stuff that can be fixed easily... and that was working before.

Finally, i will keep playing, although my in game time has halved since arena is impossible as f2p and i find no motivation to improve my account like crafting. I hope it eventually makes a comeback. Any opinions i would like to keep civil, there is a lot of doomers and a lot of white knights, just... lets strive for a fun game, arguing with each other accomplishes nothing and you likely wont change how the other person thinks.

TLDR: We are all getting the feeling the game is being abandoned by not fixing issues that worked well before, fixes that take no time time to implement. It also feeds into a civil war between rta ban lovers and haters when the solution is very clearly at hand. Please dedicate minimal time to the game, show us you care.
