[Issues] 12/5(Thu) Post-Update Known Issue (Added on 12/6) [26]


Hello Heirs,

This is GM Dominiel.

 

Following the update on 12/5(Thu), an issue was discovered in the game.

 

Please see below for more detailed information.

 

 

1. An issue where Epic Seven PC Client is not running on STOVE Launcher

→ We’re currently investigating this issue. Thank you for your patience as we work to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

→ Temporary fix

   1) Force-close Epic Seven by going to Windows > Task Manager

   2) Close and restart the STOVE Launcher

   3) Log in

   4) Select Epic Seven in the STOVE Launcher and click “Play” to run the game.

    ※ If the issue persists, please reboot your PC and try running the Epic Seven PC Client again.

 

→ (Added on 12/6) Additional Information on Temporary Fix

   If running the PC client is still not possible even after following the previously provided temporary fix,

   and the game is installed on a drive other than the C drive, please try reinstalling it on the C drive and then logging in again.

   ① Completely uninstall Epic Seven and the STOVE PC client

   ② Reinstall the STOVE PC client, setting the installation path to the C drive

   ③ Reinstall Epic Seven, setting the installation path to the C drive

   ④ Launch Epic Seven

 

We apologize for the delay in providing a solution to the PC client game launch issue.

We are continuously working to resolve the current issue. If the problem persists despite following the temporary fix, please leave a comment, and we will promptly address the matter.

At this point just release the game on steam.

So far nothing helps, I press the play button and it turns gray, after a couple of minutes it again becomes blue and accessible, and so on in an endless cycle. Reinstalling the client doesn't help.

wait for 05 minutes. it will run automatically.

1) bring back old hall of trials or 2) try to fix this version...ex: every time i get a decent score, for me, going, it goes to severe lag and crashes....this only happens in hall of trials

So, time still go and nothing changes. Say something to people atleast! Do all the things what you write in your instructions, even reinstall Windows for this and nothing changes, game still doesn't work.  

Wait for 05 to 10 minutes after pressing play button. It is worked for me.

And so it's been more than a week, and it still doesn't work. A select few losers suffer while the rest play quietly. We want it too!

Thanks for not solving this problem, i cant play anymore any way :)

Try this:
1. Repaired Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 redistributable (x64) <Yes, restarting the PC is needed>
2. Then reinstall both STOVE client and the game. After everything, it should work (worked for me).

Do the same thing like 10 or more times and still nothing changes :(

PhontisHmm, maybe try installing the STOVE client in Korean too, i used to do that before new patch

So the fact the pc client doesn't work at all, doesn't register the x64 file being installed, can't play the game is pretty sad and further sad is that a mihoyo a chinese company and their client runs fine... a chinese client and game runs and this won't... 
as others have said.. just move to steam even mihoyo has their games on consoles which says a lot there, might be something to seriously start working on.

Guys the create desktop shortcut button doesnt work too

Sigue sin funcionar, el juego me iba perfecto, después del parche del Jueves se arruino, Launcher y juego los reinstale en el disco C y nada, ya limpie todo residuo, le doy "Play" se queda en gris por al menos 3 Min y se vuelve a activar el botón de Play, pero no se inicia el juego, ya mate proceso varias veces y nada. 

At this point just release the game on steam.

I'm all for that, less buggy, cluncky,much more stable and there is still a vac ban if necessary, it will at least keep the devs busy with what is really needed in the game, not with 9999 patch-fixes every week with that "stove" launch to run the game.

i think it cause by UI changed

The game is installed on drive C, still doesn't work

You know the game is gonna yet busted when they shift to sci-fi UI, they did the same with "Final gear" and the game was over six month later. Hate the current UI isn't adventure-magical-fantasy anymore. The pc-client runs just fine, no issues over 3 weeks (My system is a HP Probook 6470b i7 vpro, 16 gb ram and Intel HD 4000/AMD Radeon HD 7500M 1gb gddr5) Oh by the way the web event on the stove log-in isn't working properly. I log in on the time specified to claim the rewards and the notice says it missed out the reclaim period....

It took me multiple "end task"attempts but it did work.

It doesn't help, even if you wait an hour. The “play” button becomes inactive, but after a while it lights up again and can be pressed. And this goes on endlessly.

i still cant run the game even after doing temporary fix, i hope it will be resolved soon
