Death Dealer Ray Tips

[1st] epic7#rkkdyy / Europe / Hall of Trials Death Dealer Ray Tips[Non Schniel Team]

Section 1: Intro
Hi, I’m epic7#rkkdyy!
Today, I’ll share some tips and insights on tackling the Hall of Trials – Death Dealer Ray. Let’s dive in!

To achieve a high score, it’s crucial to maximize damage while staying alive as long as possible.
Let’s start by examining the Advantages section.

The Advantages section helps players set up a team that aligns with the requirements. Here’s what’s recommended:

1.Foremost Position:
Assign a Soul Weaver (SW) to this spot. This grants a 30% speed bonus and reduces their S3 cooldown by 3 turns at the start of their turn during the boss's Exhaustion phase.
2.Back Row:
Place your primary DPS here. Choose units with strong S1 skills or those that can reduce cooldowns on S2 and S3, as the boss increases cooldowns for S2 and S3 by 2 turns.
3.Element Selection:
Avoid Dark and Light units, as they won’t benefit from the increased ATK, Health, and Ignore Effect Resistance bonuses.

Section 2: Guidelines

Next, we’ll explore Exhaustion Details and the Boss Guidelines.

Based on both pictures, I recommend trying to defeat mobs using a hero who can apply Provoke or Indirect Provoke or Silence debuffs, preferably with an AoE attack. This approach will significantly fill the exhaustion gauges.
In addition, it's essential to have healers who can cleanse Venom debuff. I suggest having at least two different abilities, as you will frequently encounter it.

Section 3 : Team Composition

Here this is my team as in pics below.

Destina's role is to assist Tamarinne in cleansing Venom debuffs.

She should be somewhat bulky and aim for 200+ speed.

Any artifact can be used for her.

I picked her because she has a strong S1 and can reset the cooldown of her S3. She has a standard build, but you’ll want to focus on high damage output: High Attack, Crit Chance, and Crit Damage.

She can use any artifact that boosts damage dealt to the boss.

Keep in mind, the boss will relentlessly target her as if she’s done something to provoke him!  [also add the cooldowns two turns on S2 and S3]

I picked Kawerik because his S3 can apply an AoE Silence debuff. He can be built as a standard DPS with
High Attack, Crit Chance, and Crit Damage. Like Cermia, he can equip any artifact that boosts damage dealt to the boss.

Her role is the same as Destina's: to cleanse all debuffs as quickly as possible using her S3. I use the Magahara Tome artifact for faster skill cycling.

Section 4: The fight

At the start, the boss will use an S3 skill similar to the playable ML Ray, applying Venom debuffs to the player’s units. These debuffs reduce the units' max HP and must be cleansed as quickly as possible.

In my case, I use Destina’s S3 to cleanse the Venom debuffs. After cleansing, you can focus on hitting the boss, but be cautious about using certain skills:

1.Avoid using skills that cleanse Plague or Blind debuffs, as the boss will apply these after his fourth turn with the "Anatomical Mutation" skill.
so don't waste it!

2. Save skills that can apply Provoke, Indirect Provoke, or Silence debuffs for after the boss activates the "Overload" unique effect to the mobs.

*P.S. Blind debuffs significantly reduce the chance of units that need to apply Provoke, Indirect Provoke, or Silence to the mobs.*

As I mentioned previously, he will use "Anatomical Mutation" on his fourth turn.

After the team took on "Anatomical Mutation," my Tamarinne's S3 was up, which allowed me to cleanse all the boss's venoms. Then, I used my Kawerik's S3. When you successfully apply the debuff to the mobs, they immediately take a turn and execute an AoE attack, making in their death.

And as you remember if the mobs died, it would fill up greatly the exhaustion gauge. [as picture below ]

Section 5: The fight - exhausted phase

in exhausted phase the boss will enter in Weak state. In this state, you can maximize damage output by having your healers use Non-attack skills to give your DPS back row a great ATK buff.

but be aware to save An ability to cleanse for incoming debuffs because each hero that take turn will have the gauge of boss building up [as above the head of  the boss in below picture]

if the gauge is filled, he will comeback to normal state. now you have to just cycle through step like this three times and you team will just take OTK damage and knocked out.

[I'm sorry for the last picture i don't know my recording is save with lowest  resolution]
