Patch update loop Solution
I saw so many people got this problem
Please kindly try this method if you are having this problem with E7 (Special thank to Trissed)
1/ Move your "data.pack" file which is placed in Android > data > Epic7 folder. (Move it anywhere you like)
2/ Uninstall your game.
3/ Install your game, launch it once so it creates a folder in android - data
4/ Move your data.pack file back to the Epic7 folder then Launch the game.
If the method above doesn't work for you try this
Open Folder Manager go to folder : Android - Data - com.stove.epic7.google - file and delete 2 Folder by these names "minimal" and "tempt".
thanks for replaying i really appreciate it !
i moved my data after finishing the update not before so i think maybe this is my mistake but i tried another solution and it work for me and this what i did [ open Folder Manager go to folder : Android - Data - com.stove.epic7.google - file and delete 2 Folder by these names "minimal" and "tempt" .. it's works for me
Sadly I tried both and it doesn't work for me. After trying the 2nd way, I'm stuck on title screen ... : '(
Are there any other way?
I have question though, the first one, doesn't it exist data.pack after opening the app (from reinstalling)? I noticed this after moving data.pack, it become data 1.pack. I deleted the original one, and renamed data 1.pack to be data.pack and it's back prompting me new patch available. CMIIW really want my game back before the day ends
@maideneire, no actually it's like this. When you already updated your game, your pack file should be around 1.49GB++, then you move that file somewhere else.... Then you delete/uninstall your game > You reinstall the game then you launch it once then immediately close it, don't update the data. Next, you move back the pack file back to the new create folder. Just ignore the name.
I apologize, I should explained more. Yes I did all that steps you mentioned already. But this is new, so I need to create new folder inside e7 then moved datapack there? When I opened the app though, it prompt me to download new patch.... sigh.. sorry to troubled you with this
So here is the thing, you already messed it up so I will rewrite:
First, restart your phone. Install the game then update your data, then wait until it finish updating. If you cannot access to the game then do from step 1, move the data.pack file (around 1.5GB+) to another place and leave it there.
2/ You uninstall the game and reinstall it then launch it once, while at the screen and it asks you to update the pack, just simply close the game from your background.
3/ Access to the Android>data and check if there is Epic7 folder. If it already created the new folder, then you move your file (which already updated before) back to the new folder.
4/ Launch to check if it run well. If it's not then.... RIP
@maideneire it happen to me before 1 month back and both ways not working for me [ 1th way doing it wrongly thanks to @Flynnize for explained the method ] so i have simulated the game on my pc and kept playing for 1 week till the next mini patch came and got fixed so you have to try so many time untel you make sure you have tried every possible way with the correct method then you have only the simulator to use for temporary time till they fix it.. i hope you try again and get it fixed or wait for smilegate to fix this as soon as possible...
@Flynnize Thank you so much for writing such long explanation! I could entered the game now using the first one, but when it prompted me to login, I just realized that my account didn't get binded properly on neither facebook or google. But I remember I could post on stove.. yet when I tried logged in using that username it didn't let me. I have already sent inquiry to customer support, hopefully they could help me retrieve my account...
@Greeny1 Thank you for helps, really appreciate them so much.. I see... I just happened to counter this problem after this new patch. It was working fine all this time.. Geez why did it happened of all time when there's buff events. I messed up really bad.
Problem solving is good 'n all, but if SG decides to just ignore this problem for now 'cause there is a solution, it might make them cocky and not solve this.
Even I saw someone post this problem months ago and I haven't seen SG post anything about fixing this thing in any way until now.
And from what I saw, SG always recommends players to just re-install the game. A ****** move.
