Why are we still paying gold to unequip gear?
Seriously though, this whole ‘paying gold to unequip gear’ thing is such an anomaly in game design. I’ve never seen anything like this before, and on such a level. 50K for one piece of gear?! Are they developers mad?! Who at SG thought this was okay? Why is it still in the game? Didn’t we tell them that we didn’t want this feature in the game? What reason is there for this irritating feature to exist? Is it to make gold more valuable? If that’s the case, isn’t that the point of the secret shop, or all of the crafting you can do? Does this feature appear in any other games? Someone please explain it, because I cannot for the life of me fathom it. The least they can do is lower the price of the cost, to at least around 10k or something.
You know, when we had the free unequip event, I enjoyed the game so much more. Like a 1000x more. Being able to change gear between characters with no drawback felt so amazing. Even for just small changes. Maybe I wanted to make this character more damaging, or maybe I wanted to give a character more HP, or defense or whatever. Regardless of what it was, it felt so good to be able to do that for free. It almost felt like I was playing a normal rpg game. Imagine that huh
The cost is too high but these unequip costs are standard in these RNG farming games of this type. Its ment to prevent people from shuffling their gear around in the PvP content and adds a bit of enjoyment thinking about the difference builds that you can put together next free removal. So reduce to cost yes, remove it no.
Smilegate has apparently poached a lot of senior developers from Summoners War, so they are copying a lot of their old work in this game. In SW they have this weird restriction where it costs money to shift gear around. So that's probably why.
Epic7 is basically just a much better and improved version of Summoners war. So if you're curious to features that might be implemented in the future, take a look at what SW has.
I've come across this featuer more than one time in other games. But other games didn't compell me to have such a wide pool of diverse heroes. Hall of Trials is the perfect example of that. One week yo need ranger another mage on third warriors get stat penalty and since boss is fire you're in big disadvantage to use anything that isn't earth and meets the requirements. The fact that we can neither unequip, without rather huge money loss, or reclaim resources like molagoras is a huge problem and makes doing the content, especialyl the newest one like AT upon release or hall of trials, like a chore.
And let's not forget to add that the game is very scarce when it comes to crafting gear forcing us to switch them between units but punishing at the same time. SG really should think it through. Either
-make unequipping free
-let us reclaim resources
-or don't make new content so reliant on having specific units

Lol from the beginning I kept thinking this game feels like an improved summoners war, now I know why.
You are paying for it because the game has not enough content and they need something to pad the time, and if it makes people more likely to give them money even better.
Staying true to the mobile game creed of making a problem and the selling you the solution.
This equip fee thing sucks. That's why I don't do a lot of swapping nor experimenting heroes.
I only do crazy team ups when it's free.
Only other game I know of that does this is summoners war which I found to be pay 2 compete so I quit. There’s only one reason I can think of that would make them think this was a good idea and it’s literally only good for them and that reason is why they sell gold for real life money. The only people I’ve talked to that don’t want this ridiculous system removed are the top of the barrel players who have plenty of resources and heroes to go around. When you ask the top players of course they want to keep every advantage they have why wouldn’t they want to stay in power? If SG wants to attract more players and keep the ones they already have then greed is not the way to go. They would make more money in the long run if people liked the game more. It’s only logical to want to spend money to support the company of your favorite game. I know every other time I’ve been tempted to spend I refrain from it because I can’t support so many things I personally disagree with.
The question is, why are you still paying gold to unequip gear with so many free unequip events so far xD these costs are there for a reason.
I thought the same thing but I feel like if I wanna play the game, just gotta deal with it, so stop crying, how they gonna compensate for me who been paying equipment fees since game came out
