[GM Note] Apology to our Heirs
This is Smilegate Megaport.
Foremost, we would like to express our sincerest apologies for the operation and service stability issues that have occurred since the launch of Epic Seven.
Specifically, I want to deeply apologize for the fact that we have misrepresented our players as people who would take advantage of illegal programs in the notice regarding the security and hacking issue. We are extremely sorry that we have lost the trust of so many of our Heirs.
We acknowledge our mistake in not promptly responding to our Heirs and creating anxiety within the community and we truly apologize for not proving the best service as promised.
In the future, Smilegate Megaport promises to make the following our top priority.
Foremost, we will ensure that all of our Heirs have detailed information regarding hacking and security issues. We will also do our best to solve any issues that may arise from this.
Additionally, we will hold a Q&A session this week to discuss hacking and security issues. The Super Creative Chief Technology Officer and Co-CEO, Ki-hyun Kang, will be part of this Q&A session. There will be a live broadcast of the Q&A session to ensure that all of our Heirs will have an opportunity to watch it. We ask that our Heirs understand that due to the fact that this session was prepared so quickly, that we were only able to invite the Korean Epic Creators and the press. We will focus all our efforts on providing a safe gaming environment for all our Heirs.
Secondly, we will be adding communication channels to improve the quality of our operational service and communication with our players.
Obtaining the trust of our Heirs is our top priority. As such, we are currently planning to hold regular press conferences where we will listen to the opinions and concerns that our Heirs have. We will also provide an official online broadcasting channel in both English and Korean which will enhance communication between us and the players, allowing us to provide quick updates regarding the game’s service status. As soon as we have completed all of the necessary preparations, we will give you more details regarding this via a separate notice. By doing this, we would like to create a deeper connection with our Heirs.
No words can describe how grateful we are to our Heirs who have been with us since the launch of the game and we cannot apologize enough for betraying the trust of our players. We will deeply reflect on the mistakes that we have made and continue to work hard to make improvements. A lot of time and effort was put into the creation of Epic Seven and we will no longer disappoint our Heirs who have consistently given this game their love and support. We have accepted and reflected on all the criticism we have received from our Heirs. Following this issue, we hope to establish an improved relationship with all our Heirs.
We truly apologize for causing confusion to our players. Starting with the Q&A session this week, and additional follow up measures that will be implemented in the future, we hope that we can earn back the trust of our Heirs.
