Decouple Deck Building Contents
So, i get it, it's a gacha game, it's a mobile game that always needs new exciting content to push some motivation to players, but why does this always lead to us needing to reinvent characters save-data with every new season, while also using the featured characters, or at the very least the intended meta?
initially we had flawed save-data calculations, in the current/last season we suddenly became able to add effects to equipment. now we also get to invest into a skill system that only runs for one season and do an arena for monster cards. all of these change how we experience the game and how well we can design our decks. and the future will simply add more parallel content we need to focus on.
there's just too many variables in this and we need to find the perfect match in a single run of a seasonal chaos run. why can't we have one content focus on cards and one on equipment for instance?
imagine being able to lock your cards, but not your equipment, then run an instance where you can strife for better equipment only while keeping your cards as are, this way you could improve your deck and your prefered characters instead of being forced to play the current meta. the new sortie could have been one such instance.
at the same time, imagine being able to jump into a chaos with your equipment locked but your cards being reversed, possibly even unable to find any equipment, so you can strife for the optimal deck fitting your equipment. any chaos/zero instance could achieve this.
these days i'm struggling to find my motivation to play, since i always need to achieve everything at once. and if any part of a run fails, either me not getting good equipment, or not getting the right epiphanies, or not even succeed at finishing the run for its final rewards, it feels like alot of wasted time. and lets not even start talking about combatants being massively reworked after everybody already finished building decks and equipment for those.
the game devs already introduced a mechanic to change epiphanies on stored decks, using Flash of Potentials, which feel quite like a shortcut to fix something that should have initially worked better.
so i wonder, would the game be more fun if we could delegate every part of the deck to its own content..?
